Harry Potter and Hogwarts, easy canvas to draw on [ENG-ESP]

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've been in this community, and today I'm back because I painted a canvas again.

I've got into the habit that when a birthday is coming up, one of the gifts I try to make (apart from adding other things) is to give a personalized canvas, maybe with something that the person likes; in this case to my friend who is going to have a birthday, I found out that she likes Harry Potter and I decided to draw this for her.

I am not an expert yet nor have I taken any art/painting classes. I just get inspired by looking at some image on the internet and try to reproduce it in my own way. So, if you are still a beginner or just want to have an original gift, or decorate your own home with your own designs, this is a good way to do it.

¡Hola a todos! Hacía tiempo que no me pasaba por esta comunidad, y hoy he vuelto porque volví a pintar un lienzo.

He cogido ya la costumbre de que cuando se acerca un cumpleaños, uno de los regalos que intento hacer (a parte de añadir otras cosas) es regalar un lienzo personalizado, quizás con algo que le guste a la persona; en este caso a mi amiga la que va a cumplir años, me enteré que le gusta Harry Potter y decidí dibujarle esto.

Todavía no soy una experta ni he tomado ninguna clase de arte/ pintura. Simplemente me inspiro mirando alguna imagen en internet e intento reproducirla a mi manera. Por eso, si tú todavía eres principiante o simplemente quieres tener un regalo original, o decorar tu propia casa con tus propios diseños, esta es una buena manera de lograrlo.

I started drawing in pencil on the canvas. First I made a circle in the center helping me with what I had at home that was round and would fit well in the center, in my case I used my cats' food dish 😂, but if I had had a compass, it would have been a good idea.

Then I drew the silhouettes of Hogwarts and Harry Potter flying on his broom. First I started it too big and then I rectified it.

Comencé dibujando a lápiz sobre el lienzo. Primero hice un círculo en el centro ayudándome con lo que tenía por casa que fuera redondo y me quedase bien al centro, en mi caso utilicé el plato de comida de mis gatos 😂, pero si hubiera tenido un compás, habría sido buena idea.

Después dibujé las siluetas de Hogwarts y de Harry Potter volando en su escoba. Primero empecé a hacerlo demasiado grande y luego lo rectifiqué.

With the help of a fine-tipped brush, I painted the silhouettes in black. I painted the whole canvas with acrylic paints. For the background I used various shades of blue to simulate the sky and I made brush strokes in circles around the central circle, which will simulate the full moon.

Con ayuda de un pincel de punta fina, fui pintando de negro las siluetas. Todo el lienzo lo pinté con pinturas acrílicas. Para el fondo utilicé varios tonos de color azul para simular el cielo y fui dando pinceladas en círculos alrededor del círculo central, que simulará ser la luna llena.

In the background you can see the arm of my boyfriend, who was trying to do another drawing but in the end got frustrated because he didn't like how it turned out and gave up 😅.

Al fondo se ve el brazo de mi novio, que estaba intentando realizar otro dibujo pero al final se frustró porque no le gustaba como quedó y abandonó 😅.

When I finished combining the shades of blue, I painted the moon in an intense yellow color. Then I waited for it to dry so I could paint the sides of the canvas, and give the last details to the drawing.

Al terminar de combinar los tonos de azules, pinté la luna de color amarillo intenso. Después esperé a que se secase para poder pintar los laterales del lienzo, y darle los últimos detalles al dibujo.

I went over the silhouettes of Harry and Hogwarts with a black permanent marker to better define the lines, and used some silver star stickers to decorate the edges of the canvas. At first I wasn't sure if they would look good, but in the end I decided. Also in the other two corners I made silver dots with a fine brush.

Repasé las siluetas de Harry y de Hogwarts con un rotulador permanente negro para definir mejor las líneas, y usé unas pegatinas de estrellas plateadas para decorar los bordes del lienzo. Al principio no estaba segura de si quedarían bien, pero al final me decidí. También en las otras dos esquinas hice puntitos plateados con un pincel fino.

And this was the result. As you can see it was a very easy canvas to paint and that everyone can do at home. Now I hope my friend likes her gift. 😄

Y este fue el resultado. Como podéis ver fue un lienzo muy fácil de pintar y que todos podemos hacer en casa. Ahora espero que a mi amiga le guste su regalo. 😄
