I am graduating from kiddie to grown-up ๐
If you are familiar with any of my previous posts, then you know that I have been focusing my talents on a "simpler" style, which could be described as a children's coloring book. This week I wanted to try out some different styles!
(A quick disclaimer: as always, I did not draw these pictures; only colored. Which, in and of itself takes talent as well. It takes talent to coordinate colors, practice shading, take shadows into account, etc. Everything was done using markers and pencil crayons ๐๏ธ)

This one was fun to do. I completed it during Christmastime (obviously ๐). I just really enjoyed the idea of a creepy Halloween theme sneaking its way into the festive holiday!

This second piece was called Cello Storm. Naturally, my mind first went to the rolling hills of Ireland, my home country ๐ฎ๐ช So I gave this a very "green" vibe ๐ The woman's dress was the most difficult, time-consuming part, but I love the way it turned out -- like a can of Guinness. ๐ I also love the way the cat's eyes turned out completely soulless, as if the viewer can look right through her...
This piece was from a mermaid-themed book by Camilla d'Errico (source: https://www.amazon.ca/Pop-Manga-Mermaids-Other-Creatures/dp/0399582258). I originally completed this picture nearly 5 years ago, and it is still one of my favorite pieces today. Orange and green are one of the best color combinations, and I think her silver eyes compliments everything beautifully...
