Greetings Hiver friends, How are you there? Welcome to another art journal I created today! I decided to paint a captivating autumn scenery with warm lights behind the scene.
In this post, I am going to show you the basic method how to paint "Autumn Lights"
I used seven colors of acrylic paint and four types of painting brushes. It took me fifty to finish this art.
Materials Needed:
๐ Acrylic paper pad
๐ Pencil and eraser
๐ Ruler
๐ Clean Water
๐ Rag
๐ Paper napkin
Brushes:
๐ Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
๐ Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
๐ Filbert brush
๐ Round brush
Acrylic Paint:
๐ Titanium white
๐ Mars black
๐ Burnt sienna
๐ Yellow ochre
๐ Orange
๐ Lemon yellow
๐ Blue
Basic Painting Method:
Background: Ultramarine blue, titanium white, orange, and yellow
Brush: Flat brush
Middle Ground:
Distant trees are usually lighter than the closer trees. I used yellow, orange, and white,
Brush: Filbert brush
Foreground:
Closer tree and bushes: black, yellow ochre, and white.
Tree trunk: Black, burnt sienna with some highlights of white and yellow ochre.
Brush: Round brush in creating the tree trunks.
Pathway: Orange, yellow ochre, black, burnt sienna, and white.
Lastly, I used a liner brush in creating tree limbs, and grass.
Painting Process:
