Greetings Hiver friends, How are you doing? Welcome to my blog. Let me share with you my latest artwork for today. I decided to paint a winter sunset, this is the original artwork that I have created. This time I added some acrylic paint to bring out brighter and vibrant colors to the setting sun. I added some lemon yellow, titanium white, orange, and ultramarine blue for the snowy landscape.
I used three types of painting brushes for this art. It took me almost an hour to finish this artwork.
For those who want to try to paint using this unique medium, you can follow the basic method below.
Materials Needed:
π Watercolor Paper or sketching Paper
π Pencil and Eraser
π Coffee Powder
π 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
π Ruler
π Clean Water
π Rag
π Paper napkin
Brushes:
π Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
π Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
π Filbert brush
Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.
Basic Procedure:
β’ Outline or sketch of your painting reference.
β’ Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture of the sky.
β’ On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
β’ The same procedure with the foreground.
β’ Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
β’ Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for thin details.
Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.
