Good day, fellow art enthusiasts! I hope everyone is doing well. I'm thrilled to share a simple coffee artwork that I created today. Take a look and let me know what you think!
The "Trees on River Edge Painting" captures the calm beauty of a riverbank, where nature's artistry is disclosed in a harmonious blend of trees, water, and light. It is a scene of coolness, where the tranquil flow of the river meets the presence of the trees, creating a sense of serenity and quietness. This painting evokes the beauty of the natural world and the significance of finding moments of peace in our busy lives.
I used three types of painting brushes for this piece and it took me forty minutes to finish. For those interested in trying this unique medium, you can follow the basic methods below.
Materials Needed:
π Watercolor Paper or sketching Paper
π Pencil and Eraser
π Coffee Powder
π 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
π Ruler
π Clean Water
π Rag
π Paper napkin or paper towel
Brushes:
π Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
π Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
π Filbert brush
Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.
Basic Procedure:
β’ Outline or sketch your painting reference.
β’ Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
β’ On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
β’ The same procedure with the foreground.
β’ Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
β’ Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for the thin details.
Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.
