In my last post, I talked about learning to master colors to produce vivid art. That's where I posted my first ever application of the lesson from Victo Ngai.
Two days ago, I tried to practice it again as I was inspired by the release of the battle pass in the Defense of the Ancient 2 (DotA2). I know it's quite a late reaction since it's already been released days ago but I got busy with work and other things to really check it out.
Anyway, an idea struck my head - what if I draw any DotA2 heroes and recolor them from other heroes color palette? And so I did!
First, I did the outline sketch. My photo reference is Zeus from dota2.gamepedia
Then, I picked the colors from this photo of Invoker.
Half of the process
Yes, because I forgot to record the second half! Instrumental background is from Day6 's IF/またあえたら
@jcdeveza said that with the colors I used, Zeus looks like a human!
I also did a super quick animation as I try out this Krita function.
I drew digital artworks to ease the sadness and anxiety brought upon by the pandemic. I upload my artworks on munimuni.space/artworks/debi.
THIS IS SO AWESOME!
