Greetings all!
Here begins the documentation of a journey to meet a challenge, and what a challenge it has already been.
I have found myself in a space where routine, habits, and consistency are even more scarce than usual! However I am working on this, and I have found even a somewhat regular practice of active gratitude has helped me to form enough positive structure that I can begin adding to it. So for me, Inktober is truly a test of willpower, creative focus, determination, and consistency.
I am embracing the challenge :)
Crystals are fascinating to me because they are a spontaneous ordering of particles within a structure that simply works and repeats. This much is obvious, however on a slightly deeper level, within a structure that tends towards greater entropy, chaos, I find natural expressions of resonance, synchronization, and particularly, spontaneous order to be very interesting. To me, a crystal almost stabilizes the space it travels through. I guess I am a believer in some of the powers of healing that are associated with them, though I try to pretend this is #becauseScience for this reason I keep a crystal near my bed.
In this drawing I took a liberty to almost not repeat a pattern, making for an abstract and impossible crystal.
What is Inktober?
Inktober- is a challenge, that created Jake Parker in 2009 to improve his inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. It has since grown into a worldwide endeavor with thousands of artists taking on the challenge every year.
