Another Otter Teaparty my latest finished piece.

I am trying to keep to my new schedule, so here is my latest piece:

And a second time, in case it gets cropped:

Another Otter inspired Tea party

but this time, one of the little fellas decided to take his tea a step further. Why not dunk your bikky as WELL as yourself in the cup, eh?

I am trying to get the hang of this "new Normal"

and by that I mean forcing myself back into my more strict Old Normal work schedule.

Part of that drive to get back to my schedule is the 'play time' I get with plants.

My window ledges are brimming with growth and here we see some perrenials growing happily, liatrus and also some echinacae. I mean, though I am focusing SO much more on food this Garden season, I have to have flowers... We have to have Flowers

But my Courgettes/Zucchini and Squash are happily getting their secondary leaves.

And as we are now in the New Depression, I call it, I don't toss anything out, thus my daily head of Romain lettuce ends go into water on the window ledge. I'm hoping to set them in soil and see if I can grow them on.

Though they used to go straight to the chickens

which does, in fact, return to me as food in the form of eggs, in this case, I wanted the lettuce more. They still get my carrot and cucumber peelings.

I find I'm saving more ends of my fresh veg, like Leeks, to sprout on. This is a BAD pic taken by my ancient phone,

but the other day, chopping these up to store in the fridge for ready use, I had to sprout the ends and they are getting GOOD roots and new greens. These I think shall transplant really well.

Back to my work schedule

I am trying to divide the first half of my day into studio time. That means sketching/laying out and social media one day, then inking and finishing a piece the next. I am struggling to get back into it, but I think that is because I've been SO intent on garden prodcue seedlings this year.

I hope we won't have food shortages

but it's hard NOT to think about it, so I get distracted by the garden and thus use it as the carrot on the end of the stick that I 'get' to spend the rest of my day on WHEN I finish my artwork.

I think some of my silly animals actually lend themselves pretty naturally to Children's clothing.

Quite apparent with this one on a pink onsie, eh?

Well I'm off now to do more work

and hope to get SOME garden time today. It's finally sunny and calm, yesterday was heavy downpour rain AGAIN and hurricane speed winds. I've already a new fence panel I just put up, to put up again. The lot of living on the Sea.

Until next time then,

I hope all of you find your joy and get your work done in the quarantine of the New Normal

As always, like share subscribe and all those good things.

If I was having my babies now instead of ages ago I would buy the hell out of that.

Maybe at some point in the future if I end up with grandbabies (jeez that's a terrifying thought).

Always need flowers, what will bees and butterflies and other pollen users have otherwise XD

Aw, thanks @ryivhnn :) Yeah I think the thing I will miss MOST about not having kids is the grandkids. We used to say if we could go straight to Grandparents, we'd have done it in a heartbeat, having the fun spoiling them but not having to take them to the doctors or pay for their education ;)

We have friends who have 4 kids and their posts show how loud and rambunctious their 'quarantine' is, yet ours is basically the same as before, except I go out a bit less, but honestly I rarely left our property before except for my usual yearly (when I could afford it) trips to UK, which I think I'll miss the most if the world just stays shut for years...That's a scary thought, but well, we're still shut down here so who knows?

yes, flowers are important for the pollinators as well as our spirits :)

I don't want to go straight to being a grandparent that means I got old somewhere along the way and didn't notice and I already have too many things to do and not nearly enough time to do it in XD

If you have family or friends with kids you can be the crazy aunty XD

Super fun otter tea party, they look like they're enjoying themselves. Thanks for sharing @donnadavisart :D

Haha I love that otter art! And it looks nice on the clothes like that.
In times like this, unpleasant times I must say, I'd imagine a cup of tea, biscuits, a nice bath and being able to just relax without worries would feel... otterworldly.

Okay, off I go~
