Watercolor 3 Color Scene

in Sketchbook6 months ago

I have this challenge of only using the 3 colors in the watercolor scene. And this means I can use the green variations of 2 and one bluish shade color. So after trying out variety of the combinations I decided to work with this watercolor combo and it just worked.

First thing was to get the blue shade wash into the paper. And it worked out just fine. You may definitely prefer this for the simple type of the art too. And even with combo washes it looks good.

Here you can see I have to add the trees as combination of the two colors. Because it takes a bit of effort to mix them and have either dark tree or distant shadow trees.

Now filling the gap making it dark and the powerful trees appearing in the picture I have to make some combo. Final result as shown above with mix of those 2 colors of green shades.

Limited colors usage get the best out of you. So trying such shades only using two colors.

Simple, and nice! I think it's a great idea to limit color palette to push our creativity.

Keep up the good art 🙃
