Good day fellow Hive members!. Today I want to show you the process of an art piece I did some time ago. It's a drawing I did of Catwoman, Selina Kyle.
Muy buenas compitas de Hive. Hoy les quiero mostrar el proceso de una obra que tenia pendiente de hace algún tiempo. Es un dibujito que hice de Catwoman / Gatubela, Selina Kyle.
🇺🇸 Some time ago, when I went to the Argentina comic-Con, I came across this Catwoman figure that I found simply beautiful.
🇪🇸 Hace algún tiempo, cuando fui a la comic Con argentina, me encontré con esta figura de Gatubela que me pareció sencillamente hermosa.

The kittens, the character, the pose, the money, I found it super cute, so detailed; I imagine it must be a very expensive collection figure for being so detailed.
Los gatitos, el personaje, la pose, el dinero, todo super lindo, tan detallado, imagino debe ser una figura colección muy costosa para tener tantos detalles tan currados.
The reason I mention this is, some time later, I took a course about drawing comics, and in this course, the instructor asked us to make a new drawing to present in order to give a feedback. This figure came to my mind and I knew I had to make a drawing of this character.
El punto es que, tiempo despues tome un curso sobre dibujar comics, y en este nos pidieron hacer un dibujo nuevo para presentar para así darnos feedback. Yo me acorde de esa figura y decidí hacer un dibujo de este personaje.

I don't know much about Catwoman, so far of what I remember from the Batman animated series, so, I made a simple half-body, with a mischievous smile holding the kittens I saw in the figure, as if she is taken away with the cats! 🙀🙀
No conozco mucho a gatubela, mas allá de lo que recuerdo de las series animadas de Batman, así que hice un medio cuerpo sencillo, con una sonrisa picarona sosteniendo los gatitos esos que vi en la figura, ¡Como si se estuviese llevando a los gatos!. 🙀

From the sketch to the inks it changed a lot, because the feedback I mentioned before was given in the initial phase (the lines in blue), and from there I kept working on the piece. 💖 Thanks a lot to Ryan Benjamin 💖.
Del bosquejo al entintado cambio mucho, porque el feedback me lo dieron en la fase inicial (las lineas en azul), y a partir de alli fue que seguí trabajando la pieza. 💖 Grande Ryan Benjamin 💖

I decided to keep the piece in black white resembling a comic page as much as possible. I must say that this piece took me a lot of mental work. Making that leather suit was complicated.
Decidí dejar la pieza en blanco negro asemejando a un comic lo más posible. Debo decir que esta pieza me tomo mucho trabajo mental. Hacer ese traje de cuero estuvo complicado.

Drawing comics is harder than it looks! My respects to those artists 💖 I would like to be like them too.
