Hello Everyone.
Today, a friend of mine called in for an urgent portrait of her boyfriend. I'm not a big fan of last minute drawings and artworks but she wasn't quite sure he was gonna be around to present a portrait to him as a birthday gift and so wanted me to come up with something nice she could present to him tomorrow. So I grabbed the little material I had with me and made this portrait. This drawing was made using charcoal medium (99%). The materials I used are;
• A graphite pencil
• Eraser
• A Charcoal pencil
• A brush
• Pelican paper.
Here are the steps in details;
First, I made a free hand sketch of the lady using a graphite pencil
Next, I used the charcoal pencil to outline his facial features.
Because I had limited time, I had to start shading and blending the charcoal on different parts of his face randomly.
Finally I added some details to the face and clothes.
This drawing took a total of about 4 hours and my friend was pleased with the result.
Thank you for taking your time to read and view my drawing. Enjoy the rest of your day.
