Hello Hivians. I hope you're all having a great weekend.
I was going through my IG and saw some pictures from the swimming events in Rio 2016 Olympics. I decided to see some more pictures and videos and I got really fascinated about how well the athletes performed. The dressing they also wore which included googles, rubber caps and swim wears of several beautiful colors made me wish I could learnt the sport when I had the time.
But there's a lockdown now and it's not really possible at the moment. Sadly, i also learnt the Olympics scheduled for this year had been postponed to next year.
I decided to make a drawing of one of the swimmers I saw to practice portraiture with ink medium. Unfortunately, there was no name to identify who this person was.
I used a black ball point pen and Pelican Paper for this drawing.
Here are my steps;
I began by drawing the outline of the athlete putting on a cap, google and a swim wear.
Next, I shaded the goggles, cap and swim wear
Finally, I added details to the face of the athlete for a more appealing look.
I've added learning how to swim to my bucket list and I hope the pandemic goes away soon so I can work towards that.
Thank you for reading and viewing my drawing. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day.
