Hello friends, I send my regards to all the cartoonists in this community. This time I want to show my latest illustration work. I have painted a whale with the moon behind using acrylic paint, I had not used paints of this type for a long time since I only used wax colors. As a surface I used recycled cardboard that I have been using lately for my work. It is a great surface where you can do many things, I am not very skilled with the brush but I did my best, I hope you like it.
Hola amigos, envío mis saludos a todos los dibujantes de esta comunidad. Esta vez quiero mostrar mi último trabajo de ilustración. He pintado una ballena con la luna detrás utilizando pintura acrílica, tenía mucho tiempo sin utilizar pinturas de este tipo ya que solo utilizaba colores de cera. Como superficie utilicé cartón reciclado que últimamente he estado usando para mis trabajos. Es una gran superficie en la que se puede hacer muchas cosas, no soy muy habilidoso con el pincel pero hice mi mejor esfuerzo, espero que les guste.
I have used 4 paints, titanium white, cobalt violet, ultramarine blue, cerulean blue and magenta. A piece of cardboard that measures 25 x 30. Soft bristle brushes and pencils. I started by drawing the whale and the circle behind it.
He utilizado 4 pinturas, blanco titanio, violeta de cobalto, azul ultramar, azul cerúleo y magenta. Una pieza de cartón que mide 25 x 30. Pinceles de cerda suave y lápices. Comencé dibujando a la ballena y el círculo detrás de ella.
To paint mix the ultramarine and cerulean blue colors with titanium white and have several color ranges, I started to paint first evenly and then making a gradient effect from the lightest to the darkest starting at the top of the whale. In the same way I was painting the rest of the body contour.
Para pintar mezcle los colores azul ultramar y cerúleo con blanco titanio y tener varias gamas de colores, comence a pintar primero de manera uniforme y luego haciendo un efecto degradado desde lo más claro hasta lo más oscuro comenzando por la parte superior de la ballena. De la misma forma fui pintando el resto del contorno del cuerpo.
Then we added cobalt violet to the mixture we made for the darker areas, as it is a humpback whale, in the parts near the mouth and below it it is usually somewhat dark, so we add this color to darken the mixture and to be able to paint those areas and also part of the fins and the tail.
Después a la mezcla que hicimos le agregamos vioelta de cobalto para las zonas más oscuras, al tratarse de una ballena jorobada, en las partes cercanas a la boca y debajo de ella suele ser algo oscura, así que añadimos este color para oscurecer la mezcla y poder pintar esas zonas y tambien parte de las aletas y la cola.
The next step is to draw a line across the bottom of the whale, once we have done it, with a knife we cut the entire area previously marked. With a pointed object we begin to remove one of the layers of the cardboard, the purpose is that we have that part in relief and then paint.
EL siguiente paso es dibujar una linea por toda la parte inferior de la ballena, una vez que lo hayamos hecho, con una navaja cortamos toda la zona antes marcada. Con un objeto puntiagudo comenzamos a retirar una de las capas del cartón, el propósito es que nos quede esa parte en relieve para luego pintar.
Once we have removed the first layer of paper we begin to paint, using white with a little violet. Then we are adding other shades of blue. We try to follow some similarity with the underside of these whales, which are sometimes white with large spots distributed from the mouth to the tail. So there is part where we add unmixed violet in some parts.
Una vez hayamos quitado la primera capa de papel comenzamos a pintar, utilizando blanco con un poco de violeta. Después vamos agregando otros tonos de azul. Tratamos de seguir alguna similitud con la parte inferior de estas ballenas que a veces suelen ser de un color blanco con grandes manchas distribuidas desde la boca hasta la cola. Así que hay parte donde agregamos violeta sin mezclar en algunas partes.
Then we went on to paint the moon, this moon is painted with all blue and magenta. I didn't want to just make it white or so realistic. So I decided to respect its surface area as much as possible but adding all of the shadows so that it can make a great contrast to the whale.
Después pasamos a pintar la luna, esta luna está pintada con todos azules y magenta. No quise hacerla simplemente de color blanco ni tan realista. Así que decidí respetar en la mayor medida el área de su superficie pero agregando todos a las sombras para que pueda hacer un gran contraste con la ballena.
To finish we are going to remove all the part that is unpainted from the cardboard, we will only leave a 1 centimeter frame to serve as a limit. With a knife we make the cuts along the lines of the moon and the frame, and we remove in the same way as we did previously. We remove all that surface and add more details to the painting, add more white parts to the moon and darken the bottom of the whale a little more, if you look closely it can look like outer space.
Para finalizar vamos a retirar toda la parte que esta sin pintar del cartón, solamente dejaremos un marco de 1 centimetro para que nos sirva como límite. Con una navaja hacemos los cortes por las lineas de la luna y del marco, y retiramos de la misma manera como lo hiciemos anteriormente. Quitamos toda esa superficie y volvemos a agregar más detalles a la pintura, añadimos mas partes blancas a la luna y oscurecemos un poco más la parte inferior de la ballena, si observan bien puede verse como el espacio exterior.
This is how this beautiful painting of a whale and the moon has been. As I did not paint for a long time, most of my paintings were damaged by not using them. The truth is that it hurt me a lot because when I bought them they cost me a lot of money. Only a few could be saved, including the ones I used for this job. I like how the result was, it is a beautiful piece for decoration. cardboard can be used for many things, among those to serve as a surface for some creative idea. Así ha quedado esta linda pintura de una ballena y la luna. Como estuve mucho tiempo sin pintar, la mayoría de mis pinturas se dañaron por no darles uso. La verdad que me dolió mucho porque cuando las compre me costaron mucho dinero. Solo se pudieron salvar algunas, entre ellas las que usé para este trabajo. Me gusta como quedó el resultado, es una hermosa pieza para decoración. el cartón nos puede servir para muchas cosas, entre esas para servir como superficie para alguna idea creativa.
