Hello cartoonist friends, I hope you are having a good start to the weekend, in my country we observe Catholic Holy Week so we have a few days off, I have taken advantage of them to continue drawing. This time I made a lonely girl on a chair looking at nothing, I really liked this drawing because of the pose, so to do it I put my human body sketching skills into practice. Hope you like.
Hola amigos dibujantes, espero que estén teniendo un buen inicio de fin de semana, en mi país observamos la Semana Santa católica así que tenemos algunos días libres, los he aprovechado para seguir dibujando. Esta vez hice a una chica solitaria sobre una silla que mira hacia la nada, me gustó mucho este dibujo por la pose, así que para hacerlo puse en prácticas mis habilidades en cuanto al boceto del cuerpo humano. Espero que les guste.

Never underestimate any drawing, because each one is unique and they usually have their complicated part and in this case it was the pose. Although doing it caught my attention, when I started to make the strokes it was not as easy as I thought, so I had to repeat the sketch 3 times, until I found a simpler model that adapted to the drawing's needs. Once I got a model I began to shape it and then paint with the colors calmly.
Nunca hay que subestimar ningún dibujo, porque cada uno es único y suelen tener su parte complicada y en este caso fue la pose. Si bien me llamó la atención hacerlo, cuando comencé a hacer los trazos no fue lo fácil que creí, así que tuve que repetir el boceto 3 veces, hasta dar con un modelo más sencillo y que se adaptara a las necesidades del dibujo. Una vez conseguido un modelo comencé a darle forma para luego pintar con los colores tranquilamente.

The first part to color has been the white shirt that the girl is wearing, it seems to be the garment that gives her warmth, protection and security. So as it is white I use the white charcoal pencil to make the parts more intense and I mix it with a gray color to be able to make the folds of the fabric and the dark parts. In this way he was able to make that contrast and that the relief of the garment can be seen.
La primera parte en colorear ha sido la camisa blanca que la chica tiene puesta, parece ser esa la prenda que le brinda calor, protección y seguridad. Así que como es blanca utilizo el lápiz de carboncillo blanco para hacer las partes mas intensas y lo mezclo con un color gris para poder hacer los pliegues de la tela y las partes oscuras. De esta manera pudo hacer ese contraste y que se pueda ver el relieve de la prenda de vestir.

Next, and so that there was a contrast with the white color, I began to draw the hair, I did it by drawing long lines very quickly so that it looked as if the hair was completely straight. By doing the hair like this, we do not have to doubt our pulse, that way the crooked lines will not come out and we will achieve realism in the hair. I thought about leaving it shoulder length, but then I thought it was a better idea to go ahead and make her hair long.
Seguidamente y para que hubiera un contraste con el color blanco comencé a dibujar el cabello, lo hice dibujando lineas largas de forma muy rápida para que se viera como si el cabello es totalmente liso. Al hacer el cabello así no hay que dudar de nuestro pulso de esa manera no saldrán las líneas torcidas y lograremos un realismo en el cabello. Pensé en dejárselo hasta los hombros, pero luego pensé que era mejor idea continuar y hacerla de cabellera larga.

In the next step I begin to paint the chair where the girl is sitting, here it was not a big deal, so I just painted directly with the black color without mixing with another tone and the way of painting was making strong lines on the paper, here the important thing is to darken evenly. Then I started to paint the legs and give it realism, first painting with a soft layer of white, and then making the shadows with a gray color and lastly I used black to reinforce the lines and also the shadows generated on the legs. In this way the drawing was finished.
En el siguiente paso comienzo a pintar la silla donde está sentada la chica, aquí no fue gran cosa, de manera que solo pinte con el color negro directamente sin mezclar con otro tono y la forma de pintar fue haciendo trazos fuertes sobre el papel, aquí lo importante es oscurecer de manera uniforme. Despues comencé a pintar las piernas y darle realismo, primero pintando con una suave capa de color blanco, y luego haciendo las sombras con un color gris y en último lugar utilicé el color negro para reforzar las líneas y también las sombras generadas en las piernas. De esta manera quedó finalizado el dibujo.
This is how this drawing was finished, while I was doing it I was thinking about the uproar that has been made lately with the AIs saying that they will end art or that they are going to replace artists, I think that will not happen, just as the camera did not replace artists and both live together today. I think that AI will be a new way of making art, it will serve us as a tool, in the same way that many of us use photography, AI could help us shape what we want to capture on canvas more quickly. Así quedó finalizado este dibujo, mientras lo hacía pensaba en el alboroto que se ha hecho últimamente con las IA diciendo que terminarán con el arte o que van a reemplazar a los artistas, yo creo que eso no sucederá, así como la cámara fotográfica no reemplazó a los artistas y ambos conviven en la actualidad. Yo pienso que las IA serán una nueva forma de hacer arte, estas nos servirar como una herramienta, de la misma forma que nos servimos muchos de la fotografía, las IA podría ayudarnos a darle forma más rápido a lo que queremos plasmar en un lienzo.
