Hello friends, I hope you are all very well, I want to share with you a portrait that I was commissioned of some little kittens, one of the cats is older than the other, but both are very good friends. They belong to a dear friend who told me she wanted to have a portrait of them. I hope you like the result.
Hola amigos, espero que todos se encuentren muy bien, quiero compartir con ustedes un retrato que me encargaron de unos pequeños gatitos, uno de los gatos tiene más edad que el otro, pero ambos son muy amigos. Pertenecen a una querida amiga quien me dijo que quería tener un retrato de ellos. Espero que les guste el resultado.

I used a 180-grit Fabriano brand paper, color resistant and with easy adhesion that allows you to use several layers of colors to mix later. With a 4H pencil I make the sketch of both cats in a simple way, only as a guide that does not prevent later use of the colors.
UTilicé un papel de marca Fabriano de grano 180, resistente al color y con facil adherencia que permite usar varias capas de colores para luego mezclar. Con un lápiz 4H hago el boceto de ambos gatos de una forma sencilla, solamente como una guía que no impida luego utilizar los colores.

When I have the sketch ready, I begin to paint the smallest cat, as it is of the orange cat species when they are puppies, their colors are somewhat yellow and over time they change, so I use all tones including ocher to contrast. I also paint the nose and eyes.
Al tener listo el boceto comienzo a pintar el gato más pequeño, como es de la especie de gatos naranjas cuando están cachorros sus colores son algo amarillos y con el tiempo van cambiando, así que utilizo todos los tonos incluyendo color ocre para hacer contraste. También pinto la nariz y los ojos.

Then I continue painting the second kitten, this one is different, it's a striped cat, the ones that look like a lynx. So in the same way I draw using base colors for the face and making the characteristic stripes of this spice. The eyes are a very bright green, so I am using several layers of green mixed with white.
Después continúo pintando el segundo gatito, este es diferente, es un gato rayado, los que parecen un lince. Así que de la misma forma dibujo usando colores base para la cara y haciendo las rayas características de esta especia. Los ojos son de un verde muy vivo, así que voy usando varias capas de color verde mezcladas con color blanco.

The next step is to apply the blending technique, using a very soft brush I go over the entire surface that is painted so that the colors can mix. When you finish blending, you can reapply more layers of colors so that all the cats' fur looks uniform.
El siguiente paso es aplicar la ténica de difuminado, utilizando un pincel muy suave lo voy pasando por toda la superficie que esta pintada para que los colores puesan mezclarse. Al terminar de difuminar se puede volver a aplicar más capas de colores para que se vea uniforme todo el pelaje de los gatos.

To finish, I paint the background of the image so that the figures of the cats have more realism. First I use several shades of dark brown and in some parts black. Then I blur and mix using the same brush, in this way the portrait of the kittens has been completed.
Para finalizar pinto el fondo de la imagen para que las figuras de los gatos tengan más realismo. Pirmero uso varios tonos café oscuro y en algunas partes color negro. Después voy difuminando y mezclando usando el mismo pincel, de esta manera ha quedado finalizado el retrato de los gatitos.
This is how the portrait of the kittens has been finished, one of my greatest weaknesses is drawing and painting animals, such as puppies and cats, I feel that they suit me better than people hehehe, people are difficult to draw and difficult to character, like pets They only know about love, that's why they are easier to draw hehe. Así ha quedado finalizado el retrato de los gatitos, una de mis mayores debilidades es dibujar y pintar animales, como perritos y gatos, siento que me quedan mejor que las personas jejeje, las personas son difíciles de dibujar y difíciles de carácter, como las mascotas solo saben de amor por eso son más fácil de dibujar jeje.
