It's been a long time since I did a drawing about Splinterlands, today I present a parody that I wanted to do with several panels in the style of a comic book, I don't know if doing several drawings to continue with a narrative ends up being considered a comic.
More than a week ago the user bulkathos shared with us a post commenting in the form of a review about some cards in the game, and visualizing in a gif the attack animation that the ranged characters do, I remembered that when I started playing Splinterlands it was funny because it didn't matter if the ranged had a gun, a cannon or a bow and arrow, the animation would always be an axe.
So, this weekend I wanted to make a comic book parodying that. I was going to take more cards into account in the drawing, but it seemed to me that with the archer I was already making my point.

Well, the cards I selected for these drawings were three:

Cursed Windeku | Pelacor Mercenary | Xenith Archer |
These images of the cards were screenshots taken from the game, in the card market.
For the first scene I wanted to make the two initial cards of the Bulkathos game that would act as tankers. "Cursed Windeku" being a card with a passive that can return damage in the form of thorns, I figured that the other tanke would have rips because of the counter attack of the monster's passive.
As it is a turn-based game, the tanke knows that it is the archer's turn, so he calls out to her to shoot his best arrow and wound him.

In the second scenario is to make the archer in position to attack, there is not much to comment only that it is difficult for me to make the bow, the arrow and the clothing is already by perspective, but well, I tried to give a feeling that looks a little like the card. 😅
The reason why you see him pointing downwards and not upwards is that in another layer or image, I had to make it in the air pointing towards the head, in the end I did not do it because I would also have to make the face of the “Cursed Windeku” and I was not convinced as I did it in the first one.

For the attack, I was initially going to draw the creature receiving the attack like an axe, everything was going to be drawn but I said: "What if I cut out the face from the card and start playing to make a capture of the animation of the axe to make it look more nonsensical?"
And that's how I wanted to finish with the last scene where the two of them look at the Cursed Windeku lying on the ground (which I didn't reflect) where they are both confused by the attack
