The next prompt is "A vibrant market scene" and I immediately thought of Bangkok's floating market. I've always wanted to go there, even planned before I went to Bangkok for the first time but I always just miss it and prioritized some other trips lol.
It's a popular thing I guess, but to be honest I just don't know where exactly to go if I'm going there. I don't even know what exactly they're selling of if they're mostly selling veggies and fresh stuff which as a tourist don't really makes sense buying cos I can't cook them or something. So I've never been there cos I don't know where exactly, how to go, and what to do aside from taking pics lol.
Anyway, I just looked on Google of some photos of the floating market and found this on Unsplash.
I want to use colored markers for this one cos I think it's fitting for the theme and it's just fun lol. The biggest challenge for me was the water as my Koi Sakura pens only have 24 colors and @acidyo is currently using the Copics so I only took 3 colors from there and just went on with it lol. The colors I had didn't match with what it's supposed to look like lol.
The thing about traditional art is you have to have the exact colors available otherwise you'd have to adjust them. In digital I can just pick a color in the color wheel haha. I wasn't satisfied with the colors of the water although I could've just went to Acid's room and borrow the whole Copic markers but I got too lazy. :P
I also forgot to take photos of the rest of the process cos I got too focused on the drawing. :P

ohhh cool, you're also doing a sketchtember prompt challenge! i love this prompt word of yours tho. if it's vibrant market, I'd think dubai and their amazing spice displays
I don't know what a Sketchtember is 😅 I started this one last month and supposed to be "daily sketches" but that didn't happen to be daily lol. I just Googled, damn those spices are really vibrant!
sketchtember is like the practice run for inktober. it's fun and you do random prompts like this one on a daily basis

As for Bangkoks floating markets...there really aren't any real old fashioned ones anymore. Just a touristy shadow and really disappointing. Only one worth doing in Thailand is the famous 'Amphawa Floating Market' which is about 70km South but many buses and vans go there. Its also only 4 km from the famous Market that packs up and gets out of the way when a train comes through which is absolutely worth a trip out! Google Maeklong train market.

OMG Maeklong train market looks scary af. If you're an idiot tourist that's an easy accident lol. Damn that's a shame. Tourism can really destroy anything...
Wow. This might be one of my favorites of your work. I really like how colorful it was, and the highlights and shadows really make the drawing pop. The contrast with the dark color of the water is really nice.
