Painting from Life...a Glass of Water - Process

Hi all, sharing with today an acrylic painting of a glass filled with water painted from life. This exercise proved to be very challenging as water is transparent you have to paint what you see through it and not what colour you think it should be. Capturing the effect of water therefore comes highlightig the distortion of shapes and colours when light refracts when passing through the medium. As long as you observe closely and clearly the final painting should look like a glass of water!
