On this occasion I have drawn one of the most impressive animals: the rhinoceros, about which I also want to share some basic information, one of them being the fact that they are endangered species, and as citizens of the world we must become aware of the problem, because our future descendants are deserving of getting to know these formidable inhabitants of the planet.
First of all, there are five species of rhino in the world, two in Africa and three in Asia. The most endangered are the African species and the reason that moves poachers after these animals is their horns, since, unfortunately, in Asia there is a myth that the dust from these horns cures a series of diseases, in addition to It is falsely considered an aphrodisiac.
What medical experts say is that rhino horns are made up of keratin, a sulfur-rich protein, the same protein that gives rise to our nails and hair.
The largest rhino species are those from Africa. The so-called white rhinoceros reaches a height of up to two meters, a length of up to 4 meters and weighs up to 3.5 tons, being the largest land animal after the elephant.
They essentially feed on plants and mature individuals are usually solitary. The immature tend to form small groups. Adult males are territorial and do not accept each other, hence they can engage in short battles, without reaching major ones.
The only predator of the rhinos, unfortunately, is the man who has always and mistakenly seen the pint of a traveling pharmacy or, worse still, the pint of viagra. Due to its large size and strength and the fact that it also has thick and resistant skin, it has no natural predators.
