Happy and blessed afternoon Hive friends, how are you?
On Friday a person made it easy for me to make a drawing of Nikola Tesla, and the idea was really good, so I listened to him and started the drawing.
First I tried to do the drawing with the Loomis method, but it didn't work out well, so I applied the grid technique, and thus I got a better resemblance.
The bad thing is that the space was very small, so each frame was very small, and it was very easy to get confused.
Well, I still made my sketch on a separate sheet, and then I put charcoal on the back of the sheet and put it on another sheet painted black, since I wanted to paint with my white color. The truth is that after that it is time to repair the entire sketch with a pen or pencil so that it is marked on the sheet below.
After this it was a bit easier, since instead of doing the shadows, I had to do the highlights, and I used my pencil and white gel pen and in some cases my black pencil to correct some mistakes.
The size of the sheet where I made the drawing is about 10X13 cm, that is, very small, so detailing the drawing was complicated, because a lot of precision was needed.
But still I feel that the drawing was very nice, it is not the best, but I am satisfied. I think I'll continue making drawings on a black background... What do you think?
