Una de mis alumnas me regalo un recorte de revista de una obra que quería imitar, lo tenia guardado desde años buscando un momento para representarlo en lienzo, pero cada que quería iniciar terminaba postergándolo, así que decidió mostrármelo y explicarme lo que le resulta llamativo de la obra con la intensión de que realizara la pintura en su lugar.
One of my students gave me a magazine clipping of a work that I wanted to imitate, I had saved it for years looking for a moment to represent it on canvas, but every time I wanted to start it ended up postponing it, so she decided to show it to me and explain what is striking about it. the work with the intention of making the painting in its place.

La ventaja de realizar ilustraciones con colores acuarelables es la precisión en la que puedes ubicar los colores, la mezcla de tonalidades al momento de aplicar el agua, desde mi punto de vista brinda un mejor control del pigmento en la superficie.
The advantage of making illustrations with watercolor colors is the precision in which you can locate the colors, the mixture of tones when applying the water, from my point of view provides better control of the pigment on the surface.
Dentro mis intereses en la pintura esta representar el imaginario popular y colectivo de Venezuela desde sus fabulas o herencia dentro de los espacios domésticos. Los corretones son espíritus enamorados que susurran al oído de sus enamoradas, seres invisibles tras un ritual mágico de cuento. Al ver la obra de "las cuatro estaciones con mascaras" de carnaval recordé a eso curiosos seres de las fabulas criollas.
Within my interests in painting is to represent the popular and collective imaginary of Venezuela from its fables or heritage within domestic spaces. Corretones are spirits in love who whisper in the ears of their lovers, invisible beings after a magical fairy tale ritual. When I saw the work of "the four seasons with masks" of carnival, I remembered that curious beings from the Creole fables.
