A man of dignity and pride- Original Sketch Portrait

I am not the person to talk about these but machoness has become a kill doze for most of us men. There was a time when men used to show their identity by displaying their machoness and present is nothing like this, young ladies will spit on machoness. Maybe still some beautiful women fall in love with macho men but keeping that aside I have a friend whose portrait reminded me of machoness.

Inspiration - A man of dignity and pride yet nothing can be spilled more about him or less. We were good friends for a long time. I have made this portrait of his during the pandemic and along with this portrait, he has become a memory too. We haven't talked recently, while rummaging from my collection I found this portrait of his and thought to take this occasion to introduce him. He is a man of dignity and class.

It was a very easy job for me to draw the outline of his face. He sat in front of me on the campus while I sketched him out. It did not take me hours to do it but yes, I did take a picture of him in case he moved, but as I mentioned, he is true to his words, he sat during the whole process. If I have to mention the most difficult part of sketching him, I would declare that it was hard to measure the volume of his hair. They would not sit still because of his non-stick gel, those were his precise words. Also, my calculation with the measurement of his ears was not accurate either; it is true that I do not like accuracy when it comes to art but, I did want to replicate his portrait, you wouldn't want to sketch someone else other than your own friend.

The next, part was easy too and the easiest part was sketching his beard, some beards are hard to sketch due to their scattered growth but in his case, I did not have to struggle with that. Instead, it was easier for me to give a good shape to his face structure due to his beard. He keeps himself clean and tidy unlike many of my friends. He is also known as the famous friend of every female in the class, or so was the case back in the first semester.

The sketch is sketched and captured by me.

Guidelines -
• Imitation art is best when captured instantly
• Before sketching envision your outline, subject, and filler
• Once you visualize the image it is easier to sketch with a pen as omission isn't an option
• For starters, I would suggest trying a pencil sketch and to get your hands flexible
• Know the different forms of marks you can create, I have used only one type of hatching
• For a dull environment, more shadow is recommended
• Plan ahead how you will protect your edges, I have used hard edges
• Monotonus hatching type designs a pathway, so plan your style and process properly
