Happy Friday my dear readers, I hope you are feeling great and as always I want to welcome you once again to my art blog, this time I wanted to make a drawing focused more on the alien theme again. As many who follow me remember a week ago I made a work that fascinated me a lot about an evil criminal called (Dariellah), which was chained in a big court waiting to be tried and convicted for his crimes, but what no one knew is that Dariellah had the help of her half sister (Mussiella), which from anonymity helped her to perpetrate many of his crimes, and of course will not allow his beloved sister to be sentenced without doing something about it to rescue her:
Feliz viernes mis queridísimos lectores y lectoras, espero que se encuentren super bien y como siempre les quiero dar la bienvenida una vez mas a mi blog de arte, en esta ocasión quise realizar un dibujo enfocado más hacia la temática alíen nuevamente. Como muchos que me siguen recordaran hace una semana atrás realice una obra que me fascino mucho sobre una malvada criminal llamada (Dariellah), la cual se encontraba encadenada en un gran tribunal a la espera de ser juzgada y condenada por sus crímenes; pero lo que nadie sabía es que Dariellah contaba con la ayuda de su media hermana (Mussiella), la cual desde el anonimato la ayudo a perpetrar muchos de sus delitos, y que por supuesto no permitirá que su querida hermana sea condenada sin hacer algo al respecto para rescatarla:
PROCESS / PROCESO
The first thing I set out to do was to make a good sketch and of course try to emulate or replicate a sinister and evil expression on the face of my character, such as the one that has the character of her sister, and not so much in their physical appearance or clothing because after all the 2 are half sisters; once I finished with the sketch the next step was the choice of colors, as I wanted to achieve a more unique look for this character I chose to use a range of very light brown tones and a little orange not so saturated. Basically I like to soften the lines of the face to make it look much more natural and alive, and in areas such as the neck and arms I took care to place more shadows and high brightness not so polished; in addition to the brightness of the nose and eyelids I also like to add a little blush in these areas to give more delicacy to the face.
Lo primero que me propuse fue hacer un buen boceto y por supuesto tratar de emular o replicar una expresión siniestra y malvada en el rostro de mi personaje, tal cual como la que tiene el personaje de su hermana, y no tanto en su apariencia física o vestimenta ya que al final de cuentas las 2 son medias hermanas; una vez termine con el boceto el siguiente paso fue la elección de los colores, como quería lograr una apariencia más única para este personaje pues opte por usar una gama de tonos marrones muy claros y un poco de naranja no tan saturado. Básicamente me gusta suavizar bastante los trazos del rostro para que este se vea mucho mas natural y vivo, y ya en zonas como el cuello y los brazos me encargue de colocar mas sombras y brillos altos no tan pulidos; adicional a los brillos de la nariz y parpados también me gusta añadir un poco de rubor en estas zonas para dar más delicadeza al rostro.
In the case of the eyes I first worked with a base of gray and brown tones to achieve a good rounded volume, and unlike the character of her sister, to (Mussiella) if I wanted to create pupil and iris in her eyes, for the base of the iris I used a varied green tones which I scaled little by little until I achieved the shape I wanted and for the pupil I used a dark green; After finishing with the eyes I moved on to the painting of the lips, in these I focused more on creating a good volume in the lower lip and tried as best as possible to represent a big smile that complemented her evil look. For the painting of the hair I decided to create it in a single range of colors, for the base I used a soft scarlet red and painted her hair of a quite intermediate length, as if it was slightly gathered in the back of her head; later to give a better relief and texture to the hair I used my 3-tip brush and I created strands little by little one on top of the other until I achieved a good realism.
En el caso de los ojos primero trabajé con una base de tonos grises y marrones para lograr un buen volumen redondeado, y a diferencia del personaje de su hermana, a (Mussiella) si quise crearle pupila e iris en sus ojos, para la base del iris use unos tonos verdes variados los cuales escale poco a poco hasta logra la forma que yo deseaba y para la pupila use un verde oscuro; luego de terminar con los ojos me pase al pintado de los labios, en estos me enfoque mas en crear un buen volumen en el labio inferior y trate lo mejor posible de representar una gran sonrisa que complementara su malvada mirada. Para el pintado del pelo me decidí por crearlo de una sola gama de colores, para la base use un rojo escarlata suave y pinte su cabello de un largo bastante intermedio, como si estuviese recogido levemente en la parte de atrás de su cabeza; posteriormente para dar un mejor relieve y textura al pelo use mi pincel de 3 puntas y fui creando mechones poco a poco uno sobre el otro hasta lograr un buen realismo.
For the clothes of this character I wanted to create a pretty elegant outfit, but at the same time not so flashy, what I did was to take a swampy green tone and create a blouse with open sleeves and high neck, with the watercolor brush I helped me a lot to create the texture of the blouse with many random strokes, the idea here was not to blur these strokes too much so that the fabric would look a little stiff and with certain folds; besides the blouse I wanted to add a couple of other garments to (Mussiella's) costume, on her arms I created some pure gold bracelets as a complement, and on her neck I created a small and fine pure gold necklace with many shiny details.
Para la ropa de este personaje quise crear un atuendo bastante elegante, pero al mismo tiempo no tan llamativo, lo que hice fue tomar un tono verde pantanoso y cree una blusa de mangas descubiertas y cuello alto, con el pincel de acuarela me ayude mucho para crear la textura de la blusa con muchos trazos aleatorios, la idea aquí era no difuminar mucho estos trazos para que la tela se viese un poco rígida y con ciertos pliegues; además de la blusa quise añadir un par de prendas mas al traje de (Mussiella), en sus brazos cree unos brazaletes de oro puro como complemento, y en su cuello cree un pequeño y fino collar de oro puro igualmente con muchos detalles brillantes.
As scenery for my work I wanted to set the scene as it is, in the same scenario of my drawing of last week, that is to say of the court room where they are judging her beloved sister, with green and brown tones, creating some background walls and a small exit door through which (Mussiella) is leaving while she smilingly turns to her sister showing her that everything will be fine and she will help her to escape from there. At the end to complement a little bit my work I darkened certain zones of the background and the farthest walls, besides I added some shines and illumination in the face of (Mussiella) to improve a little the expression of her face and to soften a little the edges of her lips.
Como escenario para mi obra quise ambientarme tal cual, en el mismo escenario de mi dibujo de la semana pasada, es decir del salón de la corte o juzgado donde se encuentran enjuiciando a su querida hermana, con tonos verdes y marrones cree algunos muros de fondo y una pequeña puerta de salida por la cual (Mussiella) se encuentra saliendo mientras voltea sonrientemente hacia su hermana demostrándole que todo estará bien y ella la ayudara a escapar de allí. Al final para complementar un poco mi obra oscurecí ciertas zonas del fondo y los muros más alejados, además de que añadir ciertos brillos e iluminación en el rostro de (Mussiella) para mejorar un poco la expresión de su rostro y suavizar un poco los bordes de sus labios.
