Good morning my dearest people of #Hive, how are you? I hope you are having a great weekend, my name is Manuel and as always it is a great pleasure to bring you a new drawing for my artistic blog.
This time I wanted to focus on creating something about Melancholy, something like a sad girl or grieving for the loss of a great love, and that is totally disconsolate while tears flow from his eyes by the deep sadness. Something I also wanted to do in this work was to try some reddish tones in combination with some violet tones to test the synergy and harmony between these tones; and well, I hope you like it very much and without more to add I leave you with the painting process so you can appreciate it better:
Muy Buenos días mi queridísima gente de #Hive, como están? Espero que excelente y por supuesto que estén pasando un excelente fin de semana, mi nombre es Manuel y como siempre es un gran gusto traerles un nuevo dibujo para mi blog artístico.
En esta oportunidad quise enfocarme en crear algo sobre la Melancolía, algo así como una chica triste o afligida por la pérdida de un gran amor, y que se encuentra totalmente desconsolada mientras las lagrimas brotan de sus ojos por la profundad tristeza. Algo que también quise hacer en esta obra fue probar algunas tonalidades rojizas en combinación con algunos tonos violeta para probar la sinergia y armonía entre estos tonos; y bueno, espero les guste mucho y sin más que agregar los dejo con el proceso de pintado para que lo aprecien mejor:
PROCESS / PROCESO
To begin with, I dedicated myself to build a skeleton or primary sketch in which I could establish the structure of the character, how she would be standing and things like that, in this case I opted for a pose like half sideways with her face turning over her shoulder just to the front of my canvas. For the coloring process I used pink and reddish tones as I mentioned before, the first thing was to give a little shape to the skin with the airbrush, I was establishing a little normal shadows and a little light in the high areas; once I had more or less established all the details of the skin the next thing was to go blurring and softening a little to make the skin look more realistic and more to my style of drawing.
Para empezar, me dedique a construir un esqueleto o boceto primario en el cual pudiese establecer la estructura del personaje, como estaría parada y cosas por el estilo, en este caso opte por una pose como de medio lado con su rostro volteando sobre su hombro justo hacia el frente de mi lienzo. Para el proceso de coloreado use tonos rosados y rojizos como les comenté antes, lo primero fue darle un poco de forma a la piel con el pincel aerógrafo, fui estableciendo un poco sombras normales y un poco de luz en las zonas altas; ya una vez tenía más o menos establecidos todos los detalles la piel lo siguiente fue irlo difuminando y suavizando un poco para que la piel se viese mas realista y mas a mi estilo de dibujo.
With the eyes I wanted her look to be special, but above all to contrast with the other shades of the character, in this case I opted for bluish tones for the inner irises of the eyes trying to give the maximum level of detail to everything; then for the lips I made a transition from the pink tones of the skin to a more reddish tone that would give that striking and sensual touch to the girl's mouth. The hair work was done with a small range of intense violet tones, the first thing was to take a fine tip brush and began to establish wavy strokes that gave the basic shape to the hair, then I switched to the watercolor brush and I gradually textured the hair mixing the strands with some strokes of white color not so pure to give some reflections to the hair.
Con los ojos quise que su mirada fuese especial, pero que sobre todo contrastara con las demás tonalidades del personaje, en este caso opte por tonalidades azuladas para los iris internos de los ojos tratando de darle el máximo nivel de detalle a todo; luego para los labios hice una transición desde los tonos rosado de la piel y a un tono más rojizo que diese ese toque llamativo y sensual a la boca de la chica. El trabajo del pelo lo realice con una pequeña gama de tonos violetas intensos, lo primero fue tomar un pincel de punta fina y comencé a establecer trazos ondulados que dieran la forma básica al cabello, luego me pase al pincel acuarela y fui poco a poco texturizando la cabellera mezclando los mechones con algunos trazos de color blanco no tan puro para dar unos reflejos a la cabellera.
In the case of the dress I chose to create a kind of bride costume, this to give the idea that her great love died just before getting married, I painted the dress with very very light pink tones and tried to replicate a texture or fabric like silk very elegant; additionally I wanted to add to the dress some earrings in her ears as complementary accessories. As this would be a slightly melancholic work, what occurred to me was that the character would be smoking, so I created a cigarette with tones and a small trail of smoke running to one side; for the tears I took a not so pure white tone and I was forming slightly irregular lines while I was erasing from the inside to take that liquid or watery appearance of tears.
En el caso de la vestimenta opte por crear una especie de traje de Novia, esto para dar un poco la idea de que su gran amor falleció justo antes de casarse, el vestido lo pinte con tonos rosados muy muy claros y trate de replicar una textura o tela como de seda muy elegante; adicional quise agregarle a la vestimenta unos sarcillos en sus orejas como accesorios complementarios. Como se trataría de una obra un poco melancólica lo que se me ocurrió fue que el personaje estuviese fumando, entonces cree un cigarrillo con tonos y con una pequeña estela de humo corriendo hacia un lado; para las lagrimas tome un tono blanco no tan puro y fui formando líneas un poco irregulares mientras iba borrando desde adentro para que tomaran esa apariencia liquida o acuosa de las lágrimas.
