Hello everyone, it's a pleasure to greet you again. Today I come to present my latest artwork, as the title says, it is a portrait of the former adult film actress Sasha Grey.

For this work I decided for the first time to combine graphite with charcoal, although I have been drawing for a long time, I have always used these techniques separately. Although this technique is most probably extremely old, I had not dared to combine them because charcoal stains too much, and it would hurt me to damage a work of many hours in graphite. Also being self-taught I just experiment and then see if I like the result, in this case, if I liked the combination. Other materials I used were a moldable eraser, printer paper, graphite pencils HB, 2B, 5B and 8B, soft charcoal pencil (although I used the pencil powder), toilet paper for blurring and a stylograph for the signature. Very basic materials, since the charcoal and the moldable eraser can be substituted, do it only with graphite and use any eraser, the important thing is the technique.

This work took me about 12 hours to do it, trying to separate realism from hyperrealism is a bit complicated, the photograph used as a reference must be of high quality, that is the first key point, you must try to capture even her pores, something that becomes very difficult when the portrait is not so big, try to replicate her pores on the cheeks and forehead, take care a little hair lines and eyebrows, you must be patient and try to go in steps between the eyes, nose and lips. I hope you liked the final result.

This portrait has its history, yes, it is true that it is only one day old, but the story is in the reason for choosing specifically this former actress. In the year 2017 I left my job one Friday (I was still living in Venezuela), I only remember the year but not the month, the day I also remember because I was free on Saturdays and Sundays, now if I continue, it was about 6 pm and I met an old friend down the building, as I had the liquor store right there we decided to share a while having a few beers. After a few hours I remember that he told me that since I drew I should pay a tribute to the greatest actress that existed on this planet, I thought of someone from Hollywood, but no, LOL, my surprise is that he was talking about Sasha Grey a pornstar, after a while laughing at the comment I told him that yes, I was going to do it.

After a while but still in 2017, already in my last months in Venezuela, I made a couple of portraits as a joke for him, but instead of using Sasha Grey as a model, I decided to opt for the competition of that time, Mia Khalifa, I uploaded it to my Facebook and ended up liking it a lot, although I got many LIKE, I got no reaction from him in one and in the other I got "I GET ANNOYED", that very annoying red face. It's been 4 years since that promise I made to him, and that he reminded me in 2019 by private messages, He still doesn't know that his portrait is finished, he will probably find out next week, because I just decided to share this anecdote exclusively with you, the important thing is to keep the promises.

Thank you for reading me and for those who already know me, I usually combine my drawings with little stories, anecdotes, messages, etc... Because for me every work of art has its own story.
