Mikel Arteta - Pen Drawing

in Sketchbook8 months ago

Hello everyone!

Today, I want to share with you my new art work. It's a random portrait drawing of a Mikel Arteta, the current manager of an English Football club, Arsenal FC.

Ever since he joined the Gunners, they have been a competitive team - rising from Europa league regulars to Champions league contenders and among Premier league favorites.

Unfortunately, they were eliminate yesterday with 1:0 by Bayern Munich after they played out a 2:2 in the first leg. They also lost by 2:0 to Aston Villa over the weekend and missed out the first spot to Man City.

It is likely they are going to go title less this year once again after unfavorable week they've had. However, the great work of Arteta cannot be undermined.

The portrait was done with a blue ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper. I used scribble technique to create this piece. The image being used as reference for this drawing was obtained from here.

Below are my step-by-step processes:

Very nice drawing man.
Arsenal is the only team that will strive hard, beat big and strong teams but when it almost over they start messing up and loss the strong grip they've held all season long. I'm not even an Arsenal fan but yet I find it so annoying, I can't really tell what their problem is.

Yeah, they did that last season and they are about to repeat that this season.

Now that’s what we call art. Yet another amazing piece!

Thanks to you for sharing your Art works :)

Thank you for stopping by too👍

Love this!
Arsenal is a great team seems yesterday wasn't their day.
Asenal is a great team seems yesterday wasn't their day.

Yeah, they are good but they always loose concentration towards the end of the season.

I hope they will do better next time.

You draw so well
Why don’t you maybe post all of these on your other social networks maybe you could get popular from there?

I do post on my Facebook page once in a while but I don't have much time for them. I'm chocked up with other things.

Congratulations, your post has been upvoted by @dsc-r2cornell, which is the curating account for @R2cornell's Discord Community.

Hello @maxwellmarcusart. Nice pen shading. The concept at Pinterest also applies to Facebook. If you posted your personal photos and artwork to those sites, would you want others to copy and use them without your permission? Just placing a link to the image doesn't guarantee it's free to use, remember. Perhaps this image has a different copyright usage since the person you mention is a public figure and placed his photo on Facebook. Did you check first?

I don't use Facebook, so I can't check.

Also, if you use an image as reference and it's free to use, then place the image and its link in your post so that your readers can see how well your interpretation looks compared to the real photo. Just like you do in Splinterlands and Holorizing.

Take care.

Fantastic drawing dear friend
