Daily Drawing Challenge: Day 2 - Prisoner

in Sketchbook5 years ago
Greetings to all of Hive's friends.

Today I join the daily drawing challenge, being day 2 with the theme "prisoner". I hope you like my work.

The work reflects only the hands of the prisoner clinging to the bars of the cell, perhaps he was punished and confined to a dark cell, or he is just waiting desperately for the day to dawn to see the light again.

The work was done in pencil on letter-sized bond paper. In the following images I show you the step by step of my drawing.

First I started with a sketch of the drawing.

Then add the shadows in each hand.

Then I added the shadows and the details of each bar.

Then I darkened the space between the bars to resemble the darkness inside the cell.

This was the result.

With this work I join the 30-day drawing initiative; and so I can use these days of quarantine to improve my skills and get to know the impressions of the good artists who make life in this community.

Thank you very much for coming to see my drawing, I hope you liked it. See you next time!
