Hello beautiful people of Hive, I hope you are doing great. Today I share with you another digital drawing. Actually, I've been feeling very inspired so I've been doing several drawings at the same time, I don't wait to finish one when I start to make a new sketch about another idea.
Do you recognize this character? I hope you do. This is Laurie, a character from the novel Little Women, I love this novel and also the latest film adaptation directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh and of course, Timothée Chalamet.

This drawing is a kind of fan art, I usually draw fantasy characters for Splinterlands challenges, but doing a drawing inspired by a movie character was different and I really enjoyed the process. I think one of the things I had to pay more attention to was the shape of the character's face, as Timothee has very pronounced facial features and if I wasn't detailed it wouldn't look as much like him.
I started coloring the character using the base colors for his skin and all his attire and then I added some shadows in specific points to provide volume to his face.
Drawing this character I realized that I had a long time without drawing male faces and that there are a few details that I have to take into account unlike a girl's face, but it's ok because this kind of things help me to learn and improve the portraits.
As I was adding more layers of lights, shadows and shades I was thinking, how can I make the drawing come out of the screen? Hahaha. Laurie's character is a sweetheart, I'm very fond of her.
It was a relatively simple drawing to do, although I had my doubts about whether the resemblance was similar to the reference image, I feel that I have to train my artistic eye a little more. I decided not to do a background, I like the way it looks with a unicolor background, so I finished the process.

Hola gentecita bonita de Hive, espero que estén súper bien. Este día les comparto otro dibujo en digital. En realidad, me he sentido muy inspirada así que he estado haciendo varios dibujos a la vez, no espero a terminar uno cuando ya empiezo a hacer un nuevo boceto sobre otra idea.
¿Reconocen este personaje? Espero que sí. Se trata de Laurie, un personaje de la novela Mujercitas, me encanta esta novela y también la última adaptación cinematográfica dirigida por Greta Gerwig y con las actuaciones de Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh y claro, Timothée Chalamet.

Este dibujo es una especie de fan art, normalmente dibujo personajes de fantasía para los retos de Splinterlands, pero hacer un dibujo inspirado en un personaje de una película fue diferente y disfruté mucho el proceso. Creo que una de las cosas de las que tuve que prestar más atención fue la forma del rostro del personaje, ya que Timothee tiene rasgos faciales muy pronunciados y si no era detallista no quedaría tan parecido a él.
Empecé a colorear el personaje usando los colores base para su piel y todo su atuendo y luego añadí algunas sombras en puntos específicos para ir proporcionando volumen a su rostro.
Dibujando este personaje me di cuenta que tenía un buen tiempo sin dibujar rostros masculinos y que hay unos cuantos detalles que tengo que tomar en cuenta a diferencia del rostro de una chica, pero está bien porque este tipo de cosas me ayudan a aprender y a mejorar los retratos.
Conforme iba añadiendo más capas de luces, sombras y matices pensaba, ¿Cómo puedo hacer para que el dibujo salga de la pantalla? Jajaja. El personaje de Laurie es un amor, le tengo mucho aprecio.
Fue un dibujo relativamente sencillo de hacer, aunque tuve mis dudas sobre si el parecido era similar con la imagen de referencia, siento que tengo que entrenar un poco más mi ojo artístico. Decidí no hacerle fondo, me gusta como luce con un fondo unicolor, así que di por finalizado el proceso.
