Hello pretty people of Hive, how are you? It's been a few weeks since I last checked in here, but I started a new job and I didn't even have time to draw when I got back home. But now I have a little more free time again and I don't want to stop sharing with you some of the things I've done during this time.
There is something about fairies, angels, butterflies and almost any winged being that I find sublime, so, when I came across this image, I felt encouraged to draw it, so I kept it for some time, until I finally got around to recreating this scene.
More than an angel, she reminds me of some goddess, both her pose and her appearance denote great attractiveness and I was hoping to reflect that in my drawing.
Process:
I don't usually draw as I see a reference, my drawings are usually a mix of various references and creativity that I use to give it more style and authenticity, but this time I wanted to do it as the image showed and capture the essence of this cute scene.
After outlining the drawing it took on a better look than I thought it would, I think one of the things that I felt wasn't going to turn out so well was the dress, it has many layers and is made with a kind of tulle fabric, but as I went along with the drawing I was encouraged to make it as good as possible.
When I sat down to color, I first concentrated on her skin and face, I let myself go in the moment, I applied some techniques that over time I have been learning without generating too much pressure on whether it has to look realistic or not.
I modified her face a little bit because I didn't feel very comfortable with it and then I increased the saturation of the layers to make the colors look a little more alive. I added several details on the dress to make it look like lace and that it was a very delicate and light fabric, then I proceeded with the wings, which I colored in a general way and then added details one by one so that at least it didn't look flat.
Although in the original image you can see a beautiful rose garden, in my drawing I preferred to leave it without details, I painted it with a neutral tone according to the color palette of the character and finally I finished the drawing.

Hola gente linda de Hive ¿Cómo están? Hace unas cuantas semanas que no me reporto por acá, pero empecé un nuevo trabajo y siquiera tenía tiempo de dibujar al volver a casa. Pero ya cuento de nuevo con un poco más de tiempo libre y no quiero dejar de compartir con ustedes algunas de las cosas que he hecho en este tiempo.
Hay algo en las hadas, los ángeles, las mariposas y casi cualquier ser alado que me parece sublime, así que, cuando me topé con esta imagen, me sentí animada en dibujarla, así que la guardé por algún tiempo, hasta que finalmente me dediqué a recrear esta escena.
Más que un ángel, me recuerda a alguna diosa, tanto su pose como su apariencia denotan gran atractivo y esperaba poder reflejarlo en mi dibujo.
Proceso:
No suelo dibujar tal y como veo una referencia, mis dibujos suelen ser una mezcla de varias referencias y creatividad que uso para darle más estilo y autenticidad, pero esta vez quise hacerlo tal cual mostraba la imagen y capturar la esencia de esta linda escena.
Tras delinear el dibujo tomó un mejor aspecto del que pensé que sería, creo que una de las cosas que sentí que no iba a resultar tan bien fue el vestido, tiene muchas capas y está hecho con una especie de tela de tul, pero conforme fui avanzando con el dibujo me fui dando ánimos para hacerlo lo mejor posible.
Al sentarme a colorear, primero me concentré en su piel y en su rostro, me dejé llevar en el momento, apliqué algunas técnicas que con el tiempo he ido aprendiendo sin generarme demasiada presión sobre si tiene que quedar realista o no.
Modifiqué un poco su rostro porque no me sentía muy a gusto con él y luego subí la saturación de las capas para que los colores se vieran con un poco más de vida. Añadí varios detalles en el vestido para que hiciera la alusión de encaje y que se trataba de una tela muy delicada y ligera, luego procedí con las alas, las cuales coloreé de modo general y luego añadí detalles una a una para que al menos no se viera plano.
Aunque en la imagen original se ve un precioso jardín de rosas, en mi dibujo preferí dejarlo sin detalles, lo pinté con un tono neutro acorde con la paleta de colores del personaje y finalmente di por acabado el dibujo.
