Hello community, I hope you are well, I sent you a big and strong hug🫂, today I made a sketch with the theme of self-portrait, and compositional drawing.
I started my drawing by making a circumference to be able to measure and distribute the elements that make up a trostro👍🏿.
Once I had the measurements I began to build the faces of my sketch, making the eyes, nose and eyebrows.
Once I had the face defined, I built the sketch hand. This part was one of my favorites since I spent a lot of time drawing hands, it was easy for me to build it.
Once I had the sketch defined, I began to shade the darkest areas to give it volume.
Then I added the light shadows, blurred the entire sketch and shaded the darker areas again. I added some hatched shadows since it is one of the shading techniques that I like the most and the one that I mastered the most.
The idea of this exercise was to build a face in a minimum amount of time to get my brain used to composing drawings safely and accurately.
And that was my activity today community. I really liked this exercise since to make live portraits it is very important to take into account the time we take to construct the drawing.
Remember that drawing is a lifestyle. See you later, 👋🎨❤.
