Lex Fridman - charcoal drawing

in Sketchbook2 years ago (edited)

Have you heard of Lex Friedman?

I get to know him from Joe Rogan podcasts. JR invites a vast range of guests but Lex is different than others for sure.
He's like the man when it comes to artificial intelligence and machine learning. He's been on Joe Rogan's podcast a bunch of times, so if you're looking to get to know him, that's the way to go. They talk about all sorts of cool stuff, like AI, technology, and philosophy, and Lex really knows his stuff. He knows a lot. Also, he's BJJ black belt and plays guitar quite well.

Anyway,

One of the things that make Lex stand out is his ability to break down complex ideas and explain them in a way that anyone can understand. Whether you're a total expert in AI or just starting out, you'll get something out of his discussions on the Joe Rogan Experience. He's a super engaging speaker and always has some insightful perspectives to share. Also, he has his own podcast channel on YT where he's interviewing other interesting individuals.

I like him for his dark sense of humor delivered with a stone, Russian face, which he woudn't rid of livin the most of his life in USA. But when you chat with him for a bit, you catch these little glimpses of a genuine smile, and that's worth more to me, you know? Being Polish myself, I get it - we don't tend to walk around grinning ear to ear all day. It's a Slavic thing.
But I personally smile more often :)

The sketching are so perfectly drawn and I love your writings dear friend @piotrgrafik

I like the way you threw light on his left eye. It gave life to it.
Good job👍

Glad you like it :) I tend to do these white dots of highlights because it makes faces alive. I know some people find it corny though :/ . I just can't help myself and do it in the final stage anyway :)

Yeah, you are right. It brings life to the eyes and the work as a whole. I do find it interesting.

I loved how you perfectly captured this person's expression. You made good use of light in the drawing, it's not easy to achieve that effect. Greetings, you are very talented 🤗. @piotrgrafik
