My first attempt on color pencils was also like with lips try using Snapseed for taking better pictures some times normal camera doesn't do justice to our art toi
One should also experiment with the with the white balance and other features of their photo editor before uploading images.
I have had good luck taking pictures of color pencil pictures in full sun. I then adjust the white balance to make the main image stand out.
