I wanted to call this drawing: THE DEVIL
Hola chicas y chicos. | Hello girls and boys.
I hope you are super well, I tell you that little by little I am going back to drawing and for today I wanted to do something with a technique or with a material that I had not used for a long time; Graphite is a technique that I really like to use, since I feel the drawing has more personality because the artist's lines and style are better shown, although this is somewhat relative. When I started the face practice it was the only material I used because I liked the realism that was achieved by blurring the graphite a bit, however after a while I stopped using it because I wanted to learn realism but with colored pencils and then started to practice blending of colors and paints and completely forget graphite.
Making this drawing I realized something that I did not think could happen and that I was very concerned about and that is that I felt that I lost a lot of my skill with graphite, I did not know where to start and how to give certain shadows and lights I was a little lost , I felt that I lowered the level a lot for so long without practicing.
The process to make this drawing was a bit strange, but, the more I added graphite to give the lights and shadows I liked it more and more, because at the beginning it seemed a complete disaster, until I got to a point where I got stuck and it was all. What could I do, I wanted to achieve something semi-realistic with a lot of detail but I got lost in the process, even so I am satisfied I thought it would be much worse hehe, then I show you the whole process.
