¡Hemos llegado al día 13 del Inktober!
Hoy tenemos en la lista de “Chicos Guapos y Hot de Anime / Videogames a un personaje no tan popular como los anteriores que he compartido: Kyou Misumi del anime Kotetsushin Jeeg.
Este anime fue como una continuación de la serie original Kotetsu Jeeg de los años 70, creada por Go Nagai sólo que en estilo finales de los 90´s.
Particularmente, esta serie no me gustó mucho ya que se apartaba mucho de la historia original y fue más como una versión con toques picantes, que era una de las cosas que estaba muy de moda a finales de los 90´s e inicios del 2000.
Sin embargo, dentro de la trama un poco aburrida y el exceso de CGI en las escenas de los robots (extraño la animación de robots en la manera tradicional), hay un personaje que se destaca entre todos a pesar de tener muy pocas escenas: Kyo Misumi.
Se presenta al inicio como el chico senpai popular del colegio al que todas chicas admiran porque es prácticamente perfecto en todo lo que hace, adicionalmente de lo agraciado físicamente que es.
Kyou es el contrincante de Kenji, el protagonista, ya que ambos compiten en carreras de motos y él siempre logra ganar por lo hábil que es al manejar.
Un día, un monstruo aparece atacando al pueblo y Kenji, quien había ido a visitar a su amiga de infancia y compañera de clases, Tsubaki, en el templo donde vivía con su abuela, es perseguido por esa criatura. Al llegar al templo, se encuentra con la anciana quien le entrega una motocicleta especial con la cual logra escapar.
Cuando está siendo atacado por el monstruo, una nave aparece en su rescate, la cual es piloteada por Kyou y Tsubaki, quienes trabajaban en la Base donde estaban las operaciones del proyecto Kotetsu Jeeg.
A partir de ahí, Kyou se presenta como un piloto aéreo con gran habilidad física y mental y como un líder. Las pocas apariciones en la serie, lo hacen ver como un joven muy inteligente, hábil pero completamente misterioso. A medida que se avanza en los capítulos, se deja entrever que algo pasa con él y que está ocultando algo.
Esto hace que en el último combate que enfrenta, al revelarse la verdad sobre su identidad, cause mayor impacto ya que es algo totalmente inesperado a pesar de la preparación previa del espectador para incrementar la curiosidad sobre el personaje.
El diseño de Kyou es bastante llamativo: cabello azul claro muy largo y desordenado en la parte superior, ojos rasgados de color dorado, bastante alto y delgado. Esto hace que luzca elegante y llamativo con su traje de piloto logrando que destaque entre el elenco de personajes.
Lo dibujé en proceso de vestir su uniforme. Aún las anatomías bastante delgadas en personajes masculinos se me hacen un poco difícil de dibujar.

We have reached day 13 of Inktober!
Today, on the list of “Hot and Handsome Anime/Videogame Guys,” we have a character who isn’t as popular as the previous ones I’ve shared: Kyou Misumi from the anime "Kotetsu Shin Jeeg."
This anime serves as a continuation of the original "Kotetsu Jeeg" series from the 70s, created by Go Nagai, but with a late 90s style.
Personally, I didn’t enjoy this series much as it strayed far from the original story and felt more like a version with spicy elements, which was quite trendy in the late 90s and early 2000s.
However, within the somewhat boring plot and the excessive CGI in the robot scenes (I miss the traditional animation of robots), there is one character that stands out despite having very few scenes: Kyou Misumi.
He is introduced at the beginning as the popular senpai at school whom all the girls admire because he is practically perfect in everything he does, in addition to being physically attractive.
Kyou is the rival of Kenji, the protagonist, as they both compete in motorcycle races, and he always manages to win due to his skillful riding.
One day, a monster appears attacking the town, and Kenji, who had gone to visit his childhood friend and classmate, Tsubaki, at the temple where she lived with her grandmother, is pursued by this creature. Upon reaching the temple, he encounters the elderly woman who gives him a special motorcycle that allows him to escape.
When he is being attacked by the monster, a ship appears to rescue him, piloted by Kyou and Tsubaki, who were working at the Base where the Kotetsu Jeeg project operations took place.
From that moment on, Kyou is presented as an aerial pilot with great physical and mental skill, as well as a leader. His few appearances in the series portray him as a very intelligent, capable, yet completely mysterious young man. As the episodes progress, hints are dropped that something is going on with him and that he is hiding something.
This makes the final battle he faces, when the truth about his identity is revealed, even more impactful, as it is entirely unexpected despite the viewer's prior preparation to increase curiosity about the character.
Kyou's design is quite striking: long, messy light blue hair on top, slanted golden eyes, and he is quite tall and slender. This makes him look elegant and eye-catching in his pilot suit, allowing him to stand out among the cast of characters.
I drew him while getting dressed in his uniform. I still find the anatomy of very slender male characters a bit challenging to draw.
