¡Día 3 del reto!
En el tercer día del reto del Inktober, tenemos a un personaje que se convirtió en el príncipe de muchas fans del anime Candy Candy: Albert, cuyo nombre completo era William Albert Ardlay.
Albert se presenta como un hombre misterioso que siempre está cerca de Candy en los momentos de peligro para salvarla y darle protección. A través de la historia, se le ve con diferentes aspectos. Al inicio, aparece como un hombre con una espesa barba, bigotes y lentes haciéndole lucir mayor. Luego, con cabello castaño sin barba ni bigotes y finalmente en su aspecto verdadero con cabello rubio.
Es un hombre con un carácter muy tranquilo, amante de los animales y de llevar una vida libre. En el tiempo en el que pierde la memoria, convivió con Candy en la misma casa que lograron alquilar, haciéndose pasar por su hermano, aunque la gente no estaba muy convencida de eso. En una época en la que era muy mal visto que una mujer soltera conviviera con un hombre, esto podía poner a Candy en una situación donde su reputación se viera afectada al igual que su carrera como enfermera, la cual comenzaba.
En ese tiempo de convivencia, Albert se encargaba de los quehaceres del hogar, sobre todo de la cocina, porque a Candy no se le daba bien. Adicionalmente, él quería ayudarla para que no fuera una carga considerando que ella ya estaba trabajando y era algo agotador.
Así que quise hacer una escena donde Albert estuviera preparando el desayuno mientras Candy lo espía desde lejos.
Como Albert es un joven delgado pero atlético, no detallé tanto la musculatura. Se veía que debía tener buena complexión física ya que muchas veces se enfrentó a rufianes y logró ganarles sin mucho esfuerzo pero no tiene el cuerpo de un guerrero o de un héroe como en el caso del manga shounen, así que lo dejé con un aspecto sin exagerarlo.
Este fue el resultado.
Les comparto algunas tomas del proceso de esta ilustración. No hice muchas capturas esta vez ya que estaba sufriendo de una fuerte migraña y a duras penas logré terminar el dibujo del día. Se los debo para el siguiente dibujo del Inktober.

Day 3 of the challenge!
On the third day of the Inktober challenge, we have a character who became the prince of many fans of the anime Candy Candy: Albert, whose full name was William Albert Ardlay.
Albert is presented as a mysterious man who is always near Candy in dangerous moments to save and protect her. Throughout the story, he is seen with different appearances. At first, he appears as a man with a thick beard, mustache, and glasses, making him look older. Later, he has brown hair without a beard or mustache, and finally in his true appearance with blonde hair.
He is a man with a very calm character, an animal lover, and someone who enjoys a free life. During the time he loses his memory, he lives with Candy in the same house they managed to rent, pretending to be her brother, although people were not very convinced of that. In a time when it was frowned upon for a single woman to live with a man, this could put Candy in a situation where her reputation was at stake, as well as her budding career as a nurse.
During that time together, Albert took care of household chores, especially cooking, because Candy was not good at it. Additionally, he wanted to help her so that he wouldn't be a burden, considering she was already working, which was exhausting.
So I wanted to create a scene where Albert was preparing breakfast while Candy spies on him from afar.
As Albert is a slender but athletic young man, I didn't detail his musculature much. It was clear that he must have a good physical build since he often faced thugs and managed to defeat them without much effort, but he doesn’t have the body of a warrior or a hero like in shounen manga, so I left him with a non-exaggerated appearance.
This was the result.
I’m sharing some shots of the process of this illustration. I didn’t take many captures this time as I was suffering from a severe migraine and barely managed to finish the drawing of the day. I owe you more for the next Inktober drawing.
