hey guys, I'm back again with a new artwork and some more interesting tips.. this time, I worked with my charcoal pencils..
Materials: charcoal pencils (extra soft, soft and hard), HB pencil, eraser, blending stump, charcoal powder and brush.
Below are the work in progress pics🙃
I started out by creating my grid lines with my HB pencil and rulers (this is not necessary if you can sketch your reference accurately with free hand). then, I traced out my reference through the lines, this process takes my time alot, so I'm trying to drill my free hand skills.
I started shading on the hair with my extra soft charcoal pencils, then I blended with my brush and use my brush to apply charcoal powder to my hair layers, then used my charcoal pencils to shade more on the hair for the hair texture.
you may find some white/grey looking hair strands on the hair, it's not perfect but it's something.. due to the. absence of a tombo monozero eraser, I decided to use a short piece of my eraser to create the strokes on the hair to show those grey stray hair strands.
Thanks for viewing✌🏽
Got more dope artworks on the drawing board to come✌🏽😁
