Para continuar con el hilo inicial, les traigo algo de mi trabajo en la pintura al óleo, en la imagen pueden ver al fondo una pintura de mi autoría denominada Kerepakupai meru, mide 88 cm x 70 cm, técnica óleo sobre lienzo expuesta en el Ateneo de Curacho, Municipio Bermúdez del Estado Sucre, Venezuela, a mi izquierda me acompaña el profesor de pintura Ramón Guilarte, a mi derecha el Director del Ateneo Alonso Pantoja y otro colega en las artes, quienes muy cordialmente me invitaron a participar en esta sala de exposición.

Aqui pueden ver un primer plano, lamentablemente la camara no cumplio con los estandares, pero a modo groso puede verse este monumento nacional y patrimonio de la humanidad el Kerepakupai meru es la cascada más alta del mundo, con una altura de 979 m, originada en el Auyantepuy. Para realizar esta obra utilicé, un lienzo sobre bastidor, tubos de pintura al óleo de la serie de 18 colores Marie's, diluidos con trementina y aceite de linaza, pinceles de varios tipos y dureza, espátulas, lápices, toallitas y tinner para la limpieza de los pinceles y espátulas. Comenzando por realizar un boceto de líneas a modo orientativo, al que le fui manchando con siena tostado, sombra natural y mescla para obtener negro profundo.
To make this work I used a canvas on a stretcher, tubes of oil paint from the series of 18 Marie's colors, diluted with turpentine and linseed oil, brushes of various types and hardness, palette knives, pencils, wipes and tinner for cleaning the brushes and palette knives. I began by making a sketch of lines as a guideline, which I stained with toasted sienna, natural shade and mixture to obtain deep black.
Continué mi trabajo elaborando el cielo, en el cual no realicé boceto, sino que fui mezclando y dando formas libres sobre el lienzo hasta formar las nubes, para lo que utilicé azul ultramarino, azul claro, azul primario, blanco zinc, blanco titanio de zinc y negro, con lo cual fui obteniendo la sensación de profundidad y volumen, cuidando el empleo de la luz y el efecto de las sombras.
I continued my work elaborating the sky, in which I did not make a sketch, but I was mixing and giving free forms on the canvas until I formed the clouds, for which I used ultramarine blue, light blue, primary blue, zinc white, zinc titanium white and black, with which I obtained the sensation of depth and volume, taking care of the use of light and the effect of the shadows.
Habiendo terminado el cielo, me dedique ampliamente a realizar las estructuras rocosas, aquí puse mucha atención al volumen y la lógica de sus pesos además del efecto erosionante de la humedad y el aire, a 979 metros de altura y con una llovizna permanente contrasta la vegetación en las escarpadas rocas. Es así que comienzo a realizar, sobre las estructuras concluidas, el follaje de la vegetación sus alrededores, la caída libre del agua, formando una densa neblina, aquí la paleta de colores la aumente considerablemente, mezclas tras mezclas fui obteniendo verdes claros, medios, intensos y agrisados, y luego me dedique a los grises azulados oscuros de la parte derecha del cuadro.

He aquí una etapa donde se puede apreciar un torrente de agua virgen cayendo libremente formando el saldo de agua más alto del planeta, orgullo del gentilicio venezolano. Expresar algo tan sublime, con tubos de colores y pinceles es verdaderamente impresionante, por el compromiso de no minimizar su grandeza. Agudizando los sentidos comencé por trazar el eje diametral de la caída construyendo en forma progresiva ese juego de luz con luz y entre estas hacer sombras tenues a los valores obteniendo los volúmenes necesarios que nos permitieran sentir el peso de su caída en los meses de abundancia fluvial.
