Hello Hivers,
Today I´m sharing a page from 2005.
This time its a double page. Once again, one page had no sense without the other. On the 15th of January in 2005 I had spent a whole day painting in the studio. The painting I had been working on had some figures appearing out of the the smudged colours and I saw this long thing figure in the center and on one side a kind of horse and on the other a kind of bird. When I wrote and drew this I had been looking at this half made paintings and wrote down my thoughts on what was the meaning of all this. I discovered that Vicky, a friend who was diagnosed with cancer was on my mind all day and I felt this image spoke of her and her fight for life in the last stages. On one side she had the horse that represented the force to stay here in the material world and on the other side was the bird that represented her possibility to take off and leave us here. So, this is what the text speaks of in spanish. I must add that the month after she passed away. I used this image for her funeral. It´s a sad story but diaries are full of all emotions and feelings.
These drawings are not intentional works of art and all done very quickly, so it´s not done for a fine result. Then there is something else I´m shy about is that although I´m verbally totally bilingual (english and spanish) I never had a british academic education so I´ve expressed myself in English sometimes making plenty of mistakes. My mind thinks in english many times but when I write, it´s poor.
So, finally I thought, that for this time where I look back and possibly learn from my past experiences to acknowledge where I stand today.
I think it might be an interesting experience for me to overcome some of my shyness in this and learn from my past.
There are pages that are too personal, and I decide to not share.
There won´t be a chronological order to them.
It will be random bits of information.
Any of that might speak to me today, it might speak to anyone out there, who knows.
A PAGE A DAY.... it might be in Spanish or English, it might be half in half as I switch from one language to the other, it might only be an image....
I pull this challenge upon myself to publish one page a day.

I was thinking at that moment about the fact of unclosed doors from the past will always bring in unfinished issues.
