This is a drawing I made using Polychromos pencils. It took me about two hours, and I really focused on creating contrast through bold, vibrant color. I love how the warm and cool tones play off each other—they give the piece a strong atmosphere and pull your attention in right away.
Diese Zeichnung habe ich mit Polychromos-Farbstiften gemacht. Ich saß ungefähr zwei Stunden daran und habe besonders auf die Kontraste und kräftigen Farben geachtet. Ich liebe das Zusammenspiel von warmen und kühlen Tönen – es schafft eine starke Atmosphäre und zieht den Blick sofort an.

Most people know me for sketching faces and portraits, but lately I’ve found myself leaning more toward nature and tropical animals. It’s a bit of a shift, but I think it’s helping me grow and experiment in new ways.
Normalerweise bin ich eher für Porträts und Gesichter bekannt, aber in letzter Zeit habe ich mehr Lust auf Natur und tropische Tiere bekommen. Es ist ein kleiner Richtungswechsel, aber ich merke, dass es mir beim Ausprobieren und Weiterentwickeln hilft.

One reason for this change might be that I’m starting to think about future projects—paintings that could work in shared spaces, like living rooms. Portraits don’t always feel like the right fit for that kind of setting, but something that brings in nature feels a bit more calming and open. That said, I’m sure my view will keep changing. For now, this is just what I’m enjoying most.
Ein Grund für diesen Wechsel ist wahrscheinlich, dass ich mehr an zukünftige Projekte denke – zum Beispiel Bilder, die in Gemeinschaftsräumen wie Wohnzimmern hängen könnten. Porträts passen nicht immer in solche Räume, aber etwas mit Natur wirkt oft ruhiger und offener. Aber mal sehen, wie sich das entwickelt. Momentan macht mir genau das einfach am meisten Spaß.
