Batik, between Art and the Breath of Pekalongan City Life
It has become a culture rooted in ancient times, Batik has developed from the days of the ancestors of the kingdom in Indonesia. Along with the development of the times, Batik which was previously only done in the traditional way, is now also handmade using factory machines. Although the price of batik that is done by hand is more expensive than that which is done by machine. Imagine, one batik image on cloth can become a work of art that is pegged at a price of 500 million.
Making batik images using digital or manual, must pay attention to the standard. In contrast to other motifs, Batik tends to be more detailed in its image content, and portrays its uniqueness. This is a picture of Semi Pattern Batik with the theme of Peacock Feather, which is made with a mountain theme, or piled up like mountains.
At the stage of making batik designs, the first thing we have to do is determine what the design will be used for. Is it used for shirts, sarongs, blouses, long fabrics, or something else. Incidentally, the batik that I made was to be used as a hem or shirt motif.

To create my own design I use Photoshop when creating the main contour or outline. Then for detailed fields I use Anseries. You can use any software that you are good at, but to adjust to overlapping dyes in fabrics, most manufacturers use Photoshop and Anseries.
Well, that was my first post. I will share how to make batik designs digitally in the next post. So after reading this, are you interested in designing batik too?
