💙 Hi! 💙
After a prolonged absence from posting here on Hive, I finally found the time to write a new blog post. 😆 The past month has been overwhelmingly busy for me, so I took a much needed vacation to reflect on life and recharge. 😊💜 Today, I want to share my latest art piece as a tribute to Easter, which has just passed. I hope you enjoy my piece! ❤️

Enjoy! ❤️
Step 1 ✔️
To start, I began with a quick pose for the character, placing her at the center of the canvas to establish my focal point. This initial step was crucial in setting the foundation for the rest of the artwork, allowing me to create a composition that would draw the viewer's attention and guide their gaze towards the central figure.
Step 2 ✔️
After finalizing the initial pose, I proceeded to redraw and refine my sketch, paying close attention to the details and proportions. To ensure clean and precise lines,
I applied a slight blur effect to the initial sketch, allowing me to make adjustments and corrections as needed. Once satisfied with the overall composition and line work, I moved on to creating the final line art.
I decided to draw the eyes on a separate layer. This allows me to animate them later and make any necessary edits with ease. This approach also allows for more efficient workflow for me as I can make adjustments to the eyes without affecting the rest of the character's features.
Step 3 ✔️
Next is I planned values of my color and the lighting of my piece. This step is crucial for the creation the background.
It is essential for me to ensure that the background aligns with the desired atmosphere and mood I intend to portray for the character.
Step 4 ✔️
Next, I proceeded to add the midtones to the character, being mindful of the values and ensuring they complemented the background. I selected and applied the appropriate hues and tones to bring out the desired result for the character and the background.
Step 5 ✔️
Next is I applied a blue layer mask to the midtones, serving as my shadow layer and blending my character and my background even better.
proceeded to reintroduce the midtones, carefully aligning them with my initial lighting plan. Additionally, I incorporated subsurface scattering to infuse vibrancy into the piece.
Step 6 ✔️
I proceeded to add highlights and apply screentones for added effect. Additionally, I added subtle colors to my lineart, enhancing its overall appearance.
Step 7 ✔️
Finally, I drew three different kinds of eyes for her - one closed, one half-opened, and one fully opened. I then proceeded to animate them using a separate software for added dynamic effect.
And that is how I made this piece! I hope you enjoyed it. ❤️
