A girl (oil on paper)

in Sketchbook2 years ago

An happy Friday to you all!
After some warm, sunny day, now here it's raining hard and, to be honest, I (and the plants in my backyard too) appreciate a little rainy time. My furry friend Richy is sleeping on the sofa, my hubby @paolobeneforti is working on some new drawings in the lab room and I'm drinking a big cup of tea while I'm writing here.

Today I'm here to share with you another new paintings of the series titled "Thinking about home" and you can see the final result in the following pics:

As you can see, the subject is a girl with a tiny scene about home on her blond hair. She wear a blue dress with striped sleeves and socks. Since I started to work on the group of large paper dolls I'm creating for my next solo exhibition (in August) I'm thinking about my characters with legs too. You know I use to paint my subject with a long long dress, but maybe in the next day you'll see more legs in my paintings. :P
This piece, like the most part of my artwors, is an oil painting on 200 gsm paper in A4 size and, like I use to do every time I share something new, I took some pics while I was painted her :

Soon I'll add this new artwork to my Artfinder shop (link at the bottom), hoping this sweet girl will find a new home where to be loved!

I hope you like this new painting and, if you want, stay tuned to see my next new artworks!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia

I love the scene on her head, a highly original piece of art. Good luck with the project.
