I hope you are having a nice weekend!
Here the sky is full of dark clouds and maybe it will rain soon, but I just came back at home after a long walk close to the river just few minutes far from my homeand so I feel myself in the right mood to work on my artworks. ^^
Before to go out for the walk with my hubby, I worked on a new oil painting on paper about a bird (in my own illustrative style, sure ^^ ) and, in the following pics, you can see the final result:
This funny, fat bird is my own version of a yellow cardinal! I was searching some pics of different birds on google when I watched a lot of pics of yellow cardinal birds and I Immediatly thought it could be a nice subject to paint in my style. ^_^
It's an oil painting on 200 gsm paper in A4 size and, like I use to do everytime I paint something new, I took some pics while I was painted it so you can see the steps to make it:
