Hello hivers, an happy Thursday to you all! It's a cold but sunny day here in my area and this morning, just after I woke up, I had a sweet surprise: when I opened my window there was a robin in front of me! Just few seconds and it flew away, but those few seconds made my heart so warm and I can say my day started in a best way. I think soon I'll paint a robin in my own illustrative style. ❤️
This morning, after I watched that sweet robin so close to me, I finished a piece I started yesterday in the afternoon and, in the following pics, you can see the final result of that piece:

As you can see, the main subject is a little girl with a red dress between some trees and plants and, not so far, there is a little house too.
It's a mixed media (acrylic colors, oil colors and white ink) painting on 200 gsm paper in A4 size (my favorite size when I work on paper 😊 ) and, like I use to do for you, I took some pics while I was painting this one so you can see the steps of the process too:

If the little girl lived in Sweden, she would celebrate Lucia today! Today, December 13, we celebrate Lucia in Sweden, who comes with candles in her hair and sings Christmas carols and the return of the sun. Lucia is from Sicily.
True, today is the Saint Lucia Day! I know in Sicily is a very loved Saint, but also here in Tuscany, in some small villages, people celebrate Lucia (even if tomorrow it's raining here and so I think the event will be smaller than usual.
How sweet that a Robin greeted you first thing. I can't wait to see how you paint him. ♥
