An happy Thursday to all Hive people here! These days are busy days for me, not just because I'm working on some commissioned small creations for my local customers, but also because me and my hubby @paolobeneforti are working together on a sort of illustrated short novel. My hubby wrote a short (surrealistic) novel that I like so much and so we decided to illustrate it together. It's a sort of experiment, because we have very different style in our artworks and so we are not so sure about the final result, but we'll use this experience to improve our skills too, so it's ok ^_^
Studying the characters for that novel, I had the idea to paint a sort of "mountain-man" with a rounded face and a large coat that makes him similar to a mountain:
I started to work on it thinking about a study for a character, but at the end it became a small artwork. The character I "search" for the novel will be similar to this one, but in the meantime I add colors on the sketch and it became an oil painting on 200 gsm paper. ^_^

Just to know, to work with the husband (or the wife ;) ) all together on the same project it could be nice, but also a little stressful, especially if you have different styles and different idea about how things have to work. Fortunately everyone of us has much respect for te work of the other one and so we have just to find the right way to do it. To be honest, I think it will be a long journey ^_^
