Since the drawing tablet I have doesn't work with Photoshop really well, I'm looking around for other softwares that can be a replacement. I found this one called Krita, an open source drawing app which is really good. It has a bunch of pens and basically everything I wanted except for a few minor things.
I now managed to color this little blue guy and it looked really cute. It took me quite a bit of time because the animation in Photoshop and Krita are vastly different and I'm used with the frame animation in Photoshop that is not working with Krita.
The good news is I found a compromise between the two where I could draw in Krita, use all of the amazing tools in there, and if I wanted to animate it, make it a gif or something, I could save the one I made in Krita as PSD and continue in photoshop for animation.
Keep looking in the future of what will happen with this little blue slime as I think I want this more than just an animation practice and make it a journey instead. I'm not sure yet but that's interesting as I've never done an ongoing project that took months or even years.
Maybe this could be the first one?
