I came across an art contest by TrophyLagerBeer and any form of art was accepted. I didn't want to do something people already know I do so I decided to try something else - A comic entry. Since I was trying to diversify
Day 1 - I made rough sketches of what I wanted to draw on paper and transferred it to my autodesk app on my phone. Since my Graphics tablet has not been delivered. It was hand all through.
Day 2 - I made the sketches digital and began to fill it all with colours. My initial plan was to fill and just shade like you'd do conventionally but it was not looking so great.
Day 3 - Finished adding the colours and began to shade. This had be opening a lot of layers.
Day 4 - completed shading and rested.
Day 5 - I worked on the background and the border lines. I initially felt I was done here but it wasn't looking like that I was proud of putting out. Then I thought, why not make it vectored to an extent
Day 6 - I decided to restructue Hulks face because obviously, something was wrong somewhere. He was not looking comic like at all.. This took me hours to pull off and several layers but the result was so nice.
Day 7 - I totally transformed Hulks appearance and added a vector like feel. Exported the image to Photoshop on my laptop and added the text boxed. Exported back to my phone and added the texts with PicsArt app.
I made my entry into the competition that same night.
I'll definitely be doing more comics. This was enjoyable and I loved every single process most especially when I decided to make it vectored.
Stay tuned and thank you for stopping by
