Let's Make A Watercolor Bookmark : Purple Sky

Hello guys....

Today I'm going to draw again, but this time what I'm going to make is a watercolor Bookmark. And as usual I saw the paintings on Pinterest and was intrigued to recreate them.

To make this watercolor bookmark I will use watercolor paper with a thickness of 230 gsm, the paper size is half of A6, this is the right size as a bookmark. And of course I will also use watercolors, brushes and washi tape.

Before starting to draw, I will stick the watercolor paper to the table using washi tape, only need to paste the top, bottom, right and left of the watercolor paper. Then after that apply water to the surface of the paper.

Then apply purple watercolor, make a color gradation from the darkest top and the purple color fades in the middle of the paper. Then the middle to the bottom color with pink.

Draw some clouds at the top using some variations of the purple color. Then at the bottom create some trees using variations of the purple color, draw using a lighter purple on the back and dark purple on the front, then add a dark purple color on the bottom of the paper.

Lastly splash white watercolor around the cloud, then also draw a white line to make it look like a shooting star.

Then remove the washi tape from the watercolor paper, and because I drew a little messy, and the part of the watercolor paper that should have been white got purple too, so I decided to cut the part of the paper that was on the washi tape, so the bookmark remains looks beautiful and neat.

And the end of the watercolor bookmark with a purple sky image that I just finished, maybe I'm not good at explaining it but you can see from the photo I prepared to make it easier.
