I got the chance to paint something today. It's the first time I painted this year and it surely made me happy and eager to paint more.
In this post, I'm sharing the second one I did today which is a mini-painting. (I'll share the other one next time. ^^) The reason why I did this mini-painting is actually to save the leftover paint from my mixing palette. I didn't want to throw them away and they were kind of getting dry already, so I immediately tried to make use of them.
I don't know why I came up with this, but it was what I could think of that time. It's my version of the sun and the planets Mercury, Venus and Earth. Despite this being a mini-painting, I was able to take some progress shots.
Please don't mind my filthy fingers. As I've said, it's my second painting today, so it has been quite messy. hahah
Also, I colored the sides with a blue marker because the black paint seeped through the masking tape, so it was quite dirty. haha I should be more careful next time. Here's a much closer look below.
I just noticed the greenish color of the sun in the picture. It didn't look that green in the actual painting. It's okay, though... quite unique. haha
I'll be sharing the other painting in another post. I actually like how it came out, so I'm excited to share it here as well.
I'm just glad I was able to paint today. I had some extra time because I didn't work today. I had to fix my computer and didn't know whether I could finish early or not. I was able to somehow temporarily fix it and had extra time, so yeah... painting it was!
I'll try to do some sketching soon, too. I want to create more artworks this year! See you around! (^_^)/
Your painting turned out cute. What a great way to use your leftover paint! I have a big hardcover sketchbook I use to make abstract paintings in with my leftovers because I also don't like to waste it.
Love your paintings! Keep it up!
