I believe it has a lot to do with how we are raised and not the actual gender.
You have a point here.
I actually never read the book ( or perhaps I have, a long time ago, my sisters and I gave it to my parents, as they argued a lot ).
I'm pretty sure I identify with many female traits myself. It definitely is mainly about different ways of communication. It amazes me how we, even if we speak the same language, often don't seem to understand each other. Then again, we hardly understand ourselve, most of the time haha
did it help? :)
everyone should have some "female" traits ;) at least empathy is becoming more common.
I'd really like to say it did but they are both really hardheaded haha and changing, saying sorry or admitting that the other is right is tough for them... let's say that they're still married and about to hit 45 years of marriage in November.
I 100% agree with that.
🤗
Congrats to them ^_^ That's sweet, plus it's better to say things than let them turn into resentment.
Tell that to my dad, who suffered from depression ( and rocks at not speaking his mind ) for about 25 years haha ;<)
No, seriously, they are very sweet people, just not the best match haha
but I'm still happy they are my parents. I love them.
I do that unfortunately, thankfully my partner pushes me to do it anyways. I know it's better to speak the mind, but damn it can be hard, not even sure why.
Tell me about it. Our family sure knows how to talk but when it comes to important topics... I've sure gotten way better at it over time but it has been a ( life ) long process.
Good luck to us both then! :D
